LAKE CITY, Minn. — For the second day in a row,
Kyle Brodt (Roseville, Minn.) and
Joe Abdo (Edina, Minn.) were a lethal 1-2 punch for the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's golf team.
Brodt followed up his team-best opening-day score of four-over-par 75 with a five-over 76 on Sunday, while Abdo shaved five strokes off his Day 1 79 with a team-best three-over 74 in leading the Cardinals to a third-place finish at the 10-team Saint Mary's Invitational.
Brodt's nine-over 151 36-hole total earned the Cardinal senior a tie for second place individually, four shots back of tournament medalist Adrian Edralin of St. Olaf, who posted rounds of 75-72 for a 147 total.
Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.) and
Juan Sanchez (Bogota, Colombia) finished tied for third for the Cardinals, shooting 162 — Galewski going 80-82, while Sanchez flipped those totals with an 82-80 — while
Tyler Dove (Hudson, Wis.) rounded out the lineup with an 84-84—168.
