WINONA, Minn. — It's Monday morning, and time to take one final look back at all the Cardinal highlights from a week ago — by the numbers.
-2: Cooper Craiger (Des Moines, Iowa) equaled his career-low, firing a two-under-par 70 during the Saint Mary's men's golf team's final round of the MIAC Championships last Monday. It was the second time this season the Cardinal freshman has posted a round under par — carding a two-under 69 at the season-opening Twin Ports Collegiate.
1 x 4: The Cardinal women's soccer team's eight goals against UW-Superior last Monday came from seven different players — including collegiate firsts from
Claire Fletcher (Woodbury, Minn.),
Avery Sutton (Minneapolis, Minn.),
Haylee Queen (Spokane, Wash.), and
Abbi Mazurek (Darien, Ill.).
1 = 5: Gabriella Pederson (Chaska, Minn.) picked up her fifth shutout of the season — and 12th of her collegiate career — stopping the Yellowjackets' lone, second-half shot in the Cardinal women's soccer team's 8-0 win over UW-Superior last Monday.
2: Eli Szymanski (La Crosse, Wis.) had a hand in both goals in the Saint Mary's men's soccer team's 2-1 overtime win over Bethel last Saturday. Szymanski scored the second-half goal in the 77th minute to tie the game, and assisted on Johnluke Nahroski's (Minnetonka, Minn.) game-winner with less than one minute remaining in the first extra session.
2: The Saint Mary's volleyball team boasted a pair of double-doubles in last Saturday's 3-2 win over Concordia.
Lexi Barth (Byron, Minn.) posted her second straight double-double with 17 kills and 17 digs, while
Lillian Braun (Mantorville, Minn.) delivered 65 assists and 15 digs. Barth and Braun now share the team lead in double-doubles (5) with
Linnaea Wallis (Dresser, Wis.)
2: With last Saturday's 2-1 victory over Bethel, the Saint Mary's men's soccer team's last two wins have come in overtime — the Cardinals beat Augsburg 4-3 in OT on Sept. 28.
2 + 14: The Cardinal volleyball team's 3-1 win over Saint Benedict last Friday snapped their two-match losing streak — while putting an end to the Bennies' 14-match winning streak.
4: Jordyn Matthews (Seattle, Wash.) scored two goals in the Cardinal women's soccer team's 8-0 win over UW-Superior last Monday, marking the fourth time this season the Saint Mary's sophomore has scored two or more goals in a game.
4: Alexis Nguyen (West Corvina, Calif.) finished with four saves in her first collegiate start in goal for the Saint Mary's women's soccer team last Saturday against Bethel.
4 + 5: The Saint Mary's volleyball team had four players —
Linnaea Wallis (Dresser, Wis. / 18),
Lexi Barth (Byron, Minn. / 17),
Erin Lime (Lino Lakes, Minn. / 14), and
Daynalyn Jostock (Millville, Minn.) — with 10 or more kills against Concordia last Saturday, while
DeJaye Baab (Wabasha, Minn. / 28), Barth (17),
Lillian Braun (Mantorville, Minn. / 15),
Hannah Skroch (Prior Lake, Minn. / 15), and
Carley Cronen (Kandiyohi, Minn. / 12) all recorded 10 or more digs.
5: The Saint Mary's volleyball team knocked off the fifth-ranked team in the country on Friday, as the Cardinals rallied from a 1-0 deficit — rattling off wins of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-17 — to beat Saint Benedict 3-1 at the Saint Mary's Gym.
5 x 2: Sam Morris (Hockinson, Wash.) made five saves in each of the Cardinal men's soccer team's games last week. The freshman has now made a career-best five saves in each of his last five appearances in goal.
7-0: Last Monday's 8-0 win over UW-Superior moved the Cardinal women's soccer team to 7-0-0 all-time against the Yellowjackets. Saint Mary's holds a 25-1 scoring edge vs. the Yellowjackets — including shutouts in each of the last six meetings.
8: The Saint Mary's women's soccer team scored a season-high eight goals in last Monday's 8-0 nonconference win over UW-Superior. It was the Cardinals' highest offensive performance since netting 10 goals against Finlandia on Sept. 9, 2017.

15 x 2: Hannah Skroch (Prior Lake, Minn.) delivered a career-best 15 digs in both of the Saint Mary's volleyball team's wins last weekend.
17: Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.) — playing in his final MIAC Championships — finished as the low Cardinal men's golf team's low scorer, shooting rounds of 78-79-76 for a 233 total and a 17th-place individual showing.
17 x 2: Lexi Barth (Byron, Minn.) recorded 17 kills in each of the Cardinal volleyball team's wins last weekend.
55, 65: Lillian Braun (Mantorville, Minn.) dished out 55 assists in the Cardinal volleyball team's 3-1 win over No. 5 Saint Benedict last Friday, and followed that up with a 65-assist showing in Saint Mary's 3-2 win over Concordia the following afternoon. Braun has now eclipsed the 50-assist barrier five this season. Along with her 55 helpers against Saint Benedict and 65 vs. Concordia, the senior posted 54 assists against UW-Superior on Aug. 30, 53 against Coe on Sept. 27, and 52 against Marian on Sept. 13.
74 x 2: Blair Sanders (Kansas City, Mo.) led the way for the Cardinal men's golf team during the second round of the MIAC Championships last Monday, equaling his career best with a two-over-par 74, while
Alex Allen (Monticello, Minn.) equaled that effort, shooting a career-low-tying 74 during Monday's final round.
298: The Saint Mary's men's golf team carded a final-round 298 at the MIAC Championships last Monday — it marked the first time in program history that a Cardinal team had shot lower than 300 at the conference tournament.
