JORDAN, Minn. — There's something about the 54-hole Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships that brings out the worst in Mother Nature.
For the second straight year, weather conditions have forced the cancellation of a day in the three-day event. Excessive rain has left the Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course to be unplayable, forcing the opening day of the 54-hole tournament to be pushed back to Sunday.
The opening round will now be played beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, with all golfers playing 36 holes on Monday staring at 8 a.m.
