WINONA, Minn. — It's Monday morning, and time to take one final look back at all the Cardinal highlights from a week ago — by the numbers.

1 x 2: Sydney Green (East Bethel, Minn.) and Jordan Modjeski (South Lyon, Mich.) each scored their first collegiate goals in the Cardinal women's hockey team's 8-1 win over St. Olaf last Friday.

1 + 1 = 1: Thanks to its 8-1 and 3-1 wins over St. Olaf last weekend, the Saint Mary's women's hockey team picked up its first conference sweep of the season.

1 + 3 = 4: Jordan Modjeski (South Lyon, Mich.) enjoyed a career day in the Cardinal women's hockey team's 8-1 win over St. Olaf last Friday, scoring her first collegiate goal and recording her first collegiate three-assist game — which adds up to her first career four-point game.

2: Kyle Lichttenegger (De Pere, Wis.) broke two school records to pace the Cardinal track and field teams at last Saturday's Carleton Meet of the Hearts. The senior speedster posted a school-record time of 6.55 in the 55, and blew away his old mark in the 200, stopping the clock in 22.36 en route to winning both events.

2: Courtney Moser (Blaine, Minn.) netted a pair of goals in the Saint Mary's women's hockey team's 8-1 win over St. Olaf last Friday — it was the first time in her collegiate career that the junior had scored two goals in a game. Moser added a goal in the Cardinals' 3-1 win the following day for her third goal of the weekend.

3: Eli Cave (St. Paul, Minn.), Kevin Gleason (Minneapolis, Minn.), and Kareem Anthony-Bello (Chicago, Ill.) all scored in double figures in the Saint Mary's men's basketball team's 74-55 win over Carleton last Wednesday. Cave finished with a team-best 18 points, while Gleason and Anthony-Bello chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

4: The Saint Mary's men's hockey team's four goals last weekend against St. Olaf came from four different players — Ian Currie (Franklin, Tenn.) netted the Cardinals' lone goal in last Friday's 1-1 tie, while Sam Hanson (Eau Claire, Wis.), Seth Kamrass (Peachtree Corners, Ga.), and Tommy Stang (Mendota Heights, Minn.) netted their three goals in last Saturday's 5-3 loss.

4: Four of the Saint Mary's women's tennis team's six singles matches against St. Thomas went into a third-set in last Friday's 5-4 heartbreaking loss to the Tommies.

5: The Saint Mary's men's basketball team attempted just five free throws — making all five — in last Wednesday's 74-55 win over Carleton.

5: The Cardinal men's hockey team's 1-1 tie against St. Olaf last Friday was their fifth overtime game of the season. Saint Mary's owns OT wins over Concordia (3-2) and Gustavus (5-4), while falling to Bethel (4-3), and tying St. Olaf (1-1) and Lake Forest (3-3).

5: Zoie Becker (St. James, Minn.) extended her season-opening, dual-match singles winning streak to five with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles against St. Thomas last Friday and a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Northwestern (Iowa) last Saturday. The freshman's perfect run came to halt, however, with a loss to Gustavus the following day.

5, 15: The Saint Mary's track and field teams posted 15 Top 5 finishes — including five first-place efforts — at last Saturday's Carleton Meet of the Hearts. Kyle Lichttenegger (De Pere, Wis.) led the way with a pair of firsts — both school-record performances — with Christian Beamer (Two Harbors, Minn.), Sean Curran (Appleton, Wis.), and Sydney Klausler (Lakeville, Minn.) added the other three first-place efforts.

6: The Saint Mary's swim teams recorded six school records during the four-day MIAC Championships last weekend. Brooke Shefchik (Stevens Point, Wis.) collected four individual school marks in the 500 freestyle, 400 IM, 1000 freestyle, and 1650 freestyle, while also teaming with Katie Beitz (Blaine, Minn.), Claire King (Red Wing, Minn.), and Ashlyn Seifert (Austin, Texas) to break their own school mark in the 800 freestyle relay. Brennen McClay (Shakopee, Minn.) accounted for the Cardinals' other school record, shattering the school mark in the 100 freestyle.

6: Trevor Smiley (Minnetonka, Minn.) recorded singles wins in both of the Saint Mary's men's tennis team's matches last weekend, pushing the Cardinal sophomore's singles winning streak to six straight.

7: The Cardinal women's hockey team's eight goals against St. Olaf last Friday came from seven different players — and six players had at least two points. Jordan Modjeski (South Lyon, Mich.) had a goal and three assists, Courtney Moser (Blaine, Minn.) had two goals, and Anya Hafiz (Woodbury, Minn.), Delaney Wolf (Bismarck, N.D.), Natalie Ryan (Village of Lakewood, Ill.), and Sydney Green (East Bethel, Minn.) all had a goal and an assist.

8: The Saint Mary's women's hockey team erupted for eight goals in its 8-1 conference win over St. Olaf last Friday. The eight goals were not only a season-high, but also the most in a game since the Cardinals scored eight in an 8-0 win over Hamline on Feb. 25, 2004.

8: Saint Mary's women's tennis players Maggie Frye (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Zoie Becker (St. James, Minn.) teamed to collect No. 2 doubles wins against both St. Thomas and Northwestern (Iowa) last Friday and Saturday to extended their overall doubles winning streak to eight. The freshman duo had their run halted last Sunday with a loss to nationally ranked Gustavus last Sunday.

11: With his goal in the Cardinal men's hockey team's 5-3 loss against St. Olaf last Saturday, Tommy Stang (Mendota Heights, Minn.) moved into a share of the team lead in goals (11) with Kyle Meeh (Fenton, Mo.). The 11 goals are a single-season career-high for both Stang and Meeh.

13: The Saint Mary's swim team recorded 13 all-time Top 10 performances during last weekend's MIAC Championships, while also posting nine season-best swims and 10 lifetime-best efforts.

19: Ewelina Schlomann (New Berlin, Wis.) scored a career-high 19 points to lead the Cardinal women's basketball team in scoring in last Wednesday's 68-58 loss to Carleton. Schlomann's 19-point effort was four better than her previous single-game career-high, set against Macalester on Dec. 11.

19: With last Friday's 1-1 tie against St. Olaf, Saint Mary's has now played 19 games decided by one goal or less — including 11 that have gone into overtime — over the past two seasons.

23: Eli Cave (St. Paul, Minn.) scored 21 points in the Cardinal men's basketball team's 83-78 loss to Hamline last Saturday. Cave has now scored 10 or more points in all 23 games this season, and has netted 20 or more points 11 times this season and 21 times in his collegiate career.

38: Al Rogers (New Haven, Conn.) made a season-high 38 saves in the Cardinal men's hockey team's 1-1 tie against St. Olaf last Friday. It was the fourth time this season and the ninth time in his collegiate career that Rogers has stopped 30 or more shots in a game.
