WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's basketball team closes out the home portion of its schedule on Wednesday, as the Cardinals entertain Gustavus in a 7 p.m. conference matchup at the Saint Mary's Gym.

• Wednesday's game against Gustavus, the second of back-to-back home games, is the final home contest for Michele Remer (Bismarck, N.D.), the Cardinals' lone senior. … Maggie Robertson (Orland Park, Ill.) scored a career-high 24 points in the Cardinals' 79-61 win over Hamline last Saturday. It was the second straight game in which Saint Mary's leading scorer posted a single-game career high — Ewelina Schlomann (New Berlin, Wis.) scored a career-high 19 points to lead the Cardinals in last Wednesday's 68-58 loss to Carleton. … Robertson's 24-point effort — five points better than her previous career high — marked the ninth time this season that the Cardinals have had a player score 20 or more points in a game. • Wednesday's game against Saint Mary's is the first of back-to-back road games to close out the regular season for the Gusties, who are 9-3 on their home court this season, while going 8-3 away from Gus Young Court. … Last Saturday's 82-69 loss to No. 11 Bethel snapped the Gusties' three-game winning streak. … Gustavus has lost back-to-back games twice this season, while putting together winning streaks of three (twice), four, and seven games. … Gustavus put four players in double figures in scoring against Bethel last Saturday — Ava Gonsorowski led the way with 18, followed by Caitlin Rorman with 15, and Anna Sanders and Maddy Rice with 10 each. … The Gusties enter Wednesday's matchup at Saint Mary's boasting three players who are averaging in double figures in scoring. Rorman leads the way with a 16.4 ppg scoring average, followed by Gonsorowski (13.1 ppg) and Paige Richert (10.6 ppg). … Richert and Rorman have both eclipsed the 100-rebound mark this season.
