COLFAX, Wis. — It was a career-day for the Saint Mary's University women's cross country team, as all three runners who competed at Friday's UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational turned in collegiate-best performances in the six-kilometer event.
Â
Amanda Tuvey (West St. Paul, Minn.) led the way for the short-handed Cardinals, touring the Whitetail Golf Course layout in a career-best 25:59, while Caroline Gearin (Osceola, Wis.) was close behind in 26:04 and Rachel Simon (Foley, Minn.) delivered a time of 32:20.
Â
Quinn Steinbrecher (Holmen, Wis.), meanwhile — the lone Cardinal male competing — covered the eight-kilometer course in 29:30.
Â
The Cardinals are now off until Oct. 15, when they head to Maple Grove Golf Course in West Salem, Wis., to take part in the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitationals.
