  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
• FOR THE RECORD: The Cardinals played just five games during the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season, going 2-3..
• HOME SWEET HOME: Five of Saint Mary's last seven victories have come on their home court — including their lone home win during the 2020-21 season — a 78-55 win over Hamline on Feb. 2, 2021.
• LEADING THE CHARGE: The Cardinals had a different leading scorer in each of their last three games in 2020-21 — Brooklyn Paulson (Holmen, Wis.) and Claire Patterson (Marine, Minn.) each netted 12 against St. Thomas on Feb. 21, Ewelina Schlomann (New Berlin, Wis.) tossed in 12 against Gustavus on Feb. 24, and Robertson (Orland Park, Ill.) delivered 14 vs. Hamline on Feb. 27.
• INDIVIDUAL LEADERS: Paulson closed out the year averaging a team-best 14.2 ppg, while Patterson also averaged in double figures at 10.2 ppg. … Robertson was the team's rebounding leader with 28 (5.6rpg), with Patterson owning a team-leading 14 assists and Isabel Bettag (Maple Grove, Ill.) leading the team in steals with 17.
• DOUBLING UP: Paulson recorded her first collegiate double-double against Hamline on Feb. 27, scoring 13 points and added a career-high 11 rebounds.
• RAINING 3s: The Cardinals knocked down 25 3-pointers in its five games during the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season — led by Brooklyn Paulson (Holmen, Wis.) with 10.
• CAREER-HIGH: Brooklyn Paulson (Holmen, Wis.) equaled her career high, scoring 27 points against Bethel on Feb. 6, 2021. The senior first hit 27 points against St. Olaf on Jan. 25, 2020.
• KNOCKING 'EM DOWN: Paulson went 8-for-9 from the free throw line against Bethel on Feb. 6, 2021. The eight made free throws and nine attempts were both career-highs.
• SHARING THE WEALTH: The Cardinals put four players in double figures in both of their wins over Hamline last season. Paulson netted 17 points to lead the way in the Cardinals' 78-55 win on Feb. 2, followed by Patterson with 15, Jada Biermeier (Eau Claire, Wis.) with 11, and Robertson with 10. In their second meeting on Feb. 27 — a 72-69 Saint Mary's win — Robertson led the way with 14 points. Paulson chipped in 13, while Hallie Schmeling (Onalaska, Wis.) added 12 and Schlomann finished with 11.
• AS A TEAM: The Cardinals shot 35.6 percent from the field (105-for-295) and 75.0 percent from the free throw line (84-for-112). SMU knocked down 25 treys in five games last season — including nine against Hamline on Feb. 2.
• MAGIC NUMBER: The Cardinals have scored 70 or more points in each of their last six wins.
• PUTTING IN A LITTLE OT: The Cardinals played a single-season, program-record four overtime games in their last full season in 2019-20, including three that were decided by two points. The Cardinals' 79-77 loss to St. Catherine on Dec. 4 was its first double-overtime game since beating Bethel 73-69 on Jan. 24, 2009.
UW-STEVENS POINT POINTERS SCOUTING REPORT
• FOR THE RECORD: The Pointers head into Tuesday's home-opener against Saint Mary's on the heels of a season-opening 67-49 victory over St. Norbert last Friday.
• IN THE OPENER: Gabby Gawitta scored a team-high 11 points and Taylor Greenheck chipped in 11 in the Pointers' win over St. Norbert last Friday.
• QUITE A DEBUT: Along with her team-leading 11 points, Gawitta also ohaul3ed in 12 rebounds en route to her first collegiate double-double in her first collegiate game.
• HOME SWEET HOME: UW-Stevens Point's game against Saint Mary's on Tuesday is the first of four consecutive home games for the Pointers, who went 1-3 in their four home contests during last season's nine-game schedule.
• A YEAR AGO: The Pointers played nine games during last season's pandemic-shortened campaign, going 3-6, including 3-5 in WIAC play. UW-Stevens Point dropped a 59-53 decision to UW-La Crosse in the opening round of the WIAC Tournament.
• LEADING THE WAY: Bailee Collins and Greenheck were the Pointers' offensive leaders a year ago, averaging 13.8 ppg and 11.6 ppg, respectively. Collins also led the team in rebounds with 85 (9.4 rpg). Greenheck (19) and Josie Nies (18) were the Pointers' assist leaders, while Collins and Jessica Slowik owned the top spot with seven steals each.
• DYNAMIC DUO: Greenheck or Collins led the team in scoring in all nine games last season — Greenheck achieved the feat five teams, while Collins was the team-leader four times.
• DOUBLING UP: Collins closed out the season with five double-doubles, including a 23-point, 12-rebound effort in UW-SP's WIAC Tournament loss to UW-La Crosse.
• SEASON HIGHS: Greenheck scored a single-game team-high 24 points against UW-River Falls on Feb. 24, 2021, while Collins scored 20 or more points twice — including a season-best 23 against UW-La Crosse on March 1, 2021.
• NOTHING CHANGED: UW-Stevens Point used the same six five starters — Collins, Greenheck, Slowik, Nies, and Kellan Schmidt — in all nine games last season.
