  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals have not played since beating Gustavus 67-45 on Feb. 3. … The Cardinals picked up their second straight win on Feb. 3, rolling to a 67-45 victory over Gustavus. … Raheem Anthony (Chicago, Ill.) — who picked up his first double-double of the season and third of his collegiate career with 25 points and 10 rebounds against Hamline on Feb. 1 — scored a game-high 26 points against Gustavus on Feb. 3 … Anthony — named MIAC Athlete of the Week on Feb. 8 — has now scored 20 or more points in all three of the Cardinals' games this season. … The Cardinals have had two players score 20 or more points in the same game twice this season — Eli Cave (St. Paul, Minn.) tossed in 27 points and Anthony finished with 20 points against Saint John's on Jan. 29, while Anthony scored 25 and Cave chipped in 22 against Hamline on Feb. 1. … Cave and Kareem Anthony-Bello (Chicago, Ill.) each chipped in 15 points against the Gusties on Feb. 3. … Cave has scored in double figures in 30 straight games — and in 54 of 55 games over the past three seasons — and has netted 20 or more points 26 times in his collegiate career. … With his 15 points against Gustavus on Wednesday, Cave pushed his career point total to 1,194 career points, ranking the senior 14th all-time. Next up on the career list, Ryan Rankin '00 (1,232). … Anthony heads into Wednesday's showdown against Bethel averaging a team-best 23.7 ppg, with Cave close behind at 21.3 ppg. … Anthony has amassed a team-leading 21 rebounds (7.0 rpg) through three games, while also leading the Cardinals in assists (10) and steals (9). … Saint Mary's, which finished with 10 or more 3-pointers in a game nine times a year ago, knocked down 11 treys against Hamline on Feb. 1, led by Cave with five and Anthony with four. … As a team, Saint Mary's is shooting 48.6 percent from the field (84-for-173) — including 25-for-67 from behind the arc — and are 15 of 32 (46.9 percent) from the free throw line. … With their 87-64 loss to Saint John's in the teams' nonconference meeting on Jan. 29, the Cardinals had their six-game, season-opening winning streak snapped. … Saint Mary's made its first MIAC Tournament appearance since 1985 a year ago, collecting the program's first postseason victory with its 72-59 quarterfinal win over Bethel on Feb. 25. … Saint Mary's 14 wins a year ago were the most overall wins since going 15-10 during the 1984-85 campaign, while their 10 MIAC victories were the most since going 11-9 during the 1999-2000 season.
  BETHEL ROYALS SCOUTING REPORT
Wednesday's game against Saint Mary's is the first road contest for the Royals, who picked up 10 of their 16 wins a year ago on the road. … Bethel heads into Wednesday's conference matchup against Saint Mary's coming off a 16-10 season a year ago — including a 13-7 mark in conference play. … BU made its ninth straight appearance in the MIAC post-season tournament a year ago, falling to Saint Mary's in the quarterfinals. The Royals are one of two MIAC teams to make 19 trips to the league tournament in the last 20 years, the other being St. Thomas. … After managing just 38 points in their season-opening loss to Hamline on Jan. 30 — including just one player with more than five points — the Royals put four players in double figures against Augsburg on Feb. 11. Isaiah Carver-Bagley led the way for BU, scoring 23 points, while Noah Whalen added 17, and Isaiah Rollins and Jaren Tschetter chipped in 15 and 13 points, respectively. ... Carver-Bagley heads into BU's showdown against Saint Mary's averaging a team-high 19.0 ppg, while Rollins is also averaging in double figures at 15.0 ppg. ... Bethel closed out 2019-20 boasting five players who averaged in double figures in scoring — Carver-Bagley (14.0 ppg), Jack Jenson (13.2 ppg), Granger Kingland (12.9 ppg), Hudson Urbanus (10.8 ppg), and Chandler Wellman (10.0 ppg) — the latter four among six graduated seniors from last year's squad. … Joey Kidder leads the Royals in rebounding with 15 (7.5 rpg), four more than Carver-Bagley. ... As a team, the Royals are shooting 39.6 percent from the field (44-for-111), while knocking down 10 of 18 free throws (55.6 percent). ... Bethel has drained 25 3-pointers in two games, led by Carver-Bagley with 11.  … Bethel, which averaged 71.3 ppg last season, scored 80 or more points six times a year ago — including a season-high 100-point effort in beating Crown 100-82 in its season-opener on Nov. 9, 2019.
