  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
The Cardinals surrendered a pair of first-period goals in falling to Hamline 2-1 last Saturday at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena. … The Cardinals matchup against Saint Benedict will be their third home game in four contests this season. SMU's lone road game was a 0-0 deadlock against Concordia on Feb. 6. … Jordan Modjeski (South Lyon, Mich.) scored Saint Mary's goal in its 2-1 loss to Hamline last Saturday. It was Modjeski's first goal of the season and second of her collegiate career. … Katie Devine (Glencoe, Ill.) and Sarah O'Brien (Littleton, Colo.) picked up the assists on Modjeski's third-period goal vs. the Pipers. … Avrey Simonson (Waupaca, Wis.) owns Saint Mary's other goal this season, while Delaney Calabrese (West Dundee, Ill.) and Kaley Manglitz (Onalaska, Wis.) own SMU's other two assists. … Goalie Ary Ziakas (Palatine, Ill.) pushed her season-opening shutout streak to 105:05, before giving up her first goal of the year nine minutes into last Saturday's 2-1 loss to Hamline. … Ziakas' shutout streak included a 65-minute, 35-save shutout against Concordia on Feb. 6. … Ziakas' shutout against Concordia was the second of her collegiate career. … Ziakas has now stopped 75 of the 77 shots she's faced this season (0.78 GAA, .974 save percentage). … Ziakas recorded a career-high 54 saves in the Cardinals' 3-3 tie with No. 5 Hamline on Feb. 8, 2020.   SAINT BENEDICT BENNIES SCOUTING REPORT
Wednesday's game at Saint Mary's is the first of three straight road games for the Bennies, who have played just one home game this year — Sunday's 5-2 loss to St. Thomas … Saint Benedict enters its matchup against Saint Mary's winless on the season, falling to both Hamline (3-1) and St. Thomas (5-2) thus far this year. … Riley Schneider and Rachel DeCesare scored Saint Benedict's two goals against St. Thomas last Sunday. … Schneider, DeCesare, and Rylan Bistodeau have accounted for CSB's three goals this season, while Myka Stave and Brynn Sexauer own the Bennies' two assists. … Ally Frantzick has played every minute in goal for the Bennies, compiling a 4.05 goals-against-average and .905 save percentage. … Saint Benedict has scored once in each period to account for its three goals this season, while the Bennies' opponents have netted four of their eight goals in the game's final period. … Saint Benedict enters the 2020-21 season on the heels of an 11-12-1 performance a year ago — including finishing 6-12-1 in conference play.
