  SAINT MARY'S CARDINALS SCOUTING REPORT
Saturday's game at Bethel is the first of three straight road games in a five-day span for the Cardinals, who do not return home until next Saturday, when they host Hamline in a 2 p.m. contest. … With Wednesday's 57-48 win over Bethel, the Cardinals pushed their winning streak to three straight. … Saint Mary's put three players in double figures in Wednesday's win over Bethel — Eli Cave (St. Paul, Minn.) tossed in a game-high 24 points, while Raheem Anthony (Chicago, Ill.) chipped in 13 and Nick Falls (Plymouth, Wis.) recorded a career-high 10. … Along with his 13 points, Anthony also hauled in a game-high 10 rebounds en route to his second double-double of the season and fourth of his collegiate career. … Cave has now scored in double figures in 31 straight games — and in 55 of 56 games over the past three seasons — and has netted 20 or more points 27 times in his collegiate career. … With his 24 points against Bethel on Wednesday, Cave pushed his career point total to 1,218 career points, ranking the senior 14th all-time. Next up on the career list, Ryan Rankin '00 (1,232). … The Cardinals have had two players score 20 or more points in the same game twice this season — Cave tossed in 27 points and Anthony finished with 20 points against Saint John's on Jan. 29, while Anthony scored 25 and Cave chipped in 22 against Hamline on Feb. 1. … Cave and Anthony both enter Saturday's game averaging 20 or more points per game — Cave is sitting at 22.0 ppg, with Anthony right behind at 21.0 pp. … Anthony has amassed a team-leading 31 rebounds (7.8 rpg) through four games, while also leading the Cardinals in assists (14) and steals (16). … As a team, Saint Mary's is shooting 46.1 percent from the field (106-for-230) while going 24-for-46 (52.2 percent) from the free throw line. … The Cardinals have drained 29 3-pointers through four games, led by Anthony with 10 and Cave with nine. … Saint Mary's, which finished with 10 or more 3-pointers in a game nine times a year ago, knocked down 11 treys against Hamline on Feb. 1. … With their 87-64 loss to Saint John's in the teams' nonconference meeting on Jan. 29, the Cardinals had their six-game, season-opening winning streak snapped. … Saint Mary's made its first MIAC Tournament appearance since 1985 a year ago, collecting the program's first postseason victory with its 72-59 quarterfinal win over Bethel on Feb. 25. … Saint Mary's 14 wins a year ago were the most overall wins since going 15-10 during the 1984-85 campaign, while their 10 MIAC victories were the most since going 11-9 during the 1999-2000 season.
  BETHEL ROYALS SCOUTING REPORT
Wednesday's game at Saint Mary's was the first road contest for the Royals, who picked up 10 of their 16 wins a year ago on the road. BU plays three of its next four contests on its home court, beginning with Saturday's rematch against the Cardinals. … BU has been held to under 50 points in each of its two losses this season — the Royals scored 38 in a season-opening loss to Hamline on Jan. 30 and 48 vs. Saint Mary's on Wednesday. … Bethel heads Saturday's conference matchup against Saint Mary's coming off a 16-10 season a year ago — including a 13-7 mark in conference play. … BU made its ninth straight appearance in the MIAC post-season tournament a year ago, falling to Saint Mary's in the quarterfinals. The Royals are one of two MIAC teams to make 19 trips to the league tournament in the last 20 years, the other being St. Thomas. … The Royals did not have a double-figure scorer in Wednesday's 57-48 loss to Saint Mary's — Isaiah Carver-Bagley, Chandler Wellman, Isaiah Rollins, and Noah Whalen all shared the team scoring lead with eight points each. … Carver-Bagley heads into BU's rematch against Saint Mary's averaging a team-high 15.7 ppg, while Rollins is also averaging in double figures at 11.5 ppg. ... Joey Kidder leads the Royals in rebounding with 23 (7.7 rpg), four more than Carver-Bagley and eight in front of Wellman. ... As a team, the Royals are shooting 38.7 percent from the field (63-for-163), while knocking down 15 of 25 free throws (60.0 percent). ... Bethel has drained 30 3-pointers in three games, led by Carver-Bagley with 13.  … Bethel is averaging 57.0 ppg. A year ago, the Royals averaged 71.3 ppg and scored 80 or more points six times a year ago — including a season-high 100-point effort in beating Crown 100-82 in its season-opener on Nov. 9, 2019.
