• 1-1 x 3: For the third weekend in a row, the Cardinal men’s tennis team posted a 1-1 record last week, beating Hamline 6-3 last Friday, before falling to St. Thomas 8-1 two days later.
• 3 = 1: Trevor Smiley (Minnetonka, Minn.) needed three straight to record the Cardinal men’s tennis team’s lone win in last Sunday’s 8-1 conference loss at St. Thomas. Smiley dropped the first set of his No. 4 singles match 6-2, but rallied for a 7-6 (2) win in the second set and outlasted UST’s Tristan Fjestad 10-8 in the third for the marathon win.
• 5: After dropping his first match of the season, Trevor Smiley (Minnetonka, Minn.) has put together a team-high five-match singles winning streak — including back-to-back wins over Hamline and St. Thomas last weekend.
• 6-3 x 2: With their win over Hamline last Friday, the Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team’s last two wins have been 6-3 decisions. The Cardinals also beat Wartburg 6-3 on March 13.
