WINONA, Minn. – The Saint Mary's University women's and men's hockey team's will be hosting the third annual Cardinal Hockey Icebreaker on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.

The Cardinal women's hockey team will kick off the day's festivities with a 2 p.m. exhibition game against UW-Stevens Point, followed immediately afterwards by a Skate With The Cardinals (both men's and women's players) and autograph session from 4-5 p.m.

But that is just the tip of the iceberg!

From 5-7 p.m. there will adoptable dogs from the Alma Tails of Hope Animal Rescue (aka Pups and Pucks), pumpkin carving, yard games, fire pits, and free hot beverages will be available in front of the rink.Â

All this activity making you hungry? We've got that covered, too — Rubio's food truck, specializing in Mexican cuisine, will be open from 4-7 p.m. in front of the ice arena.

And the Cardinal men's hockey team will round out the day's events, squaring off against Marian in an exhibition game slated for a 7 p.m. start.
Admission to both exhibition hockey games is free, and the first 50 kids to attend each game will be given a free Icebreaker T-shirt, courtesy of WNB Financial.
