11 Cardinals earn All-District honors

WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University soccer programs boasted a combined 11 players who earned College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® honors, it was announced Tuesday.
 
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
Athletes must carry a 3.50 grade-point-average on a 4.0 scale, have appeared in 50 percent of the team's contests, and made a significant impact on the field of competition to be eligible.
 
Jacob Clements (Holmen, Wis.), Kyle Palmberg (Holmen, Wis.), Aidan Adamek (Helena, Mont.), Jack Hurley (Homewood, Ill.), Kristian Lindanger (Tysvaervaag, Norway), and Daniel Sessler (Brookfield, Wis.) — while Brooklyn McKinney (Thornton, Colo.), Emma Schaffer (Hampton, Minn.), Allysa Barlow (Appleton, Wis.), Abbi Westhoff (Marion, Iowa), and Maya Wachter (Dubuque, Iowa) represented the SMU women's team.
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
