RETURNERS TO WATCH:
•  Gabe Bickerstaff (Senior | Competed in five of the team's six meets last season. … Posted a career-best 8K time of 28:14 at the 2021 MIAC Championships).
• Isaiah Brindamour (Junior | Competed in five of the team's six meets a year ago. … Clocked a career-best 8K time of 28:00 at the season-ending NCAA Regional Meet).
• Caroline Gearin (Junior | Among Saint Mary's top performers in every meet a year ago. … Notched a career-best 5K time of 22:15 at the 2021 Augustana Invitational and added her fastest collegiate 6K time — 24:50 — at the 2021 NCAA Regional … Gearin's 2021 regional time of 24:50 was nearly a minute faster than her previous collegiate best).
• Amanda Tuvey (Junior | Among Saint Mary's top performance in every meet a year ago. … One of just two athletes to compete in all six meets in 2021 … Tuvey's team-best regional time of 24:46 was a season- and career-best).
 
BY THE NUMBERS:
1: The Augustana Twilight on Sept. 3 was the collegiate debut for all three of the Cardinal men's runners — Steinbrecher, Bickerstaff, and Brindamour — as well as women runners Gearin, Audrey Storlie (Hinckley, Minn.), and Amanda Tuvey (West St. Paul, Minn.)
• 8: The Cardinals got then-season- and career-best times from all eight runners at the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitationals on Oct. 15.
• 27:45: Quinn Steinbrecher (Holmen, Wis.) posted the Cardinal men's fastest 8K time of the season in 2021, stopping the clock in a career-best 27:45 at the season-ending NCAA Regional.
 
DID YOU KNOW?
• All three Saint Mary's women runners posted collegiate-best times at the season-ending NCAA Regional — with all three finishing with 16 seconds of each other. Amanda Tuvey (West St. Paul, Minn.) led the way with a team-best time of 24:46, followed by Caroline Gearin (Osceola, Wis.) in 24:50 and Anna Swanson (Osceola, Wis.) in 25:02.
 
DID YOU KNOW, PART II?
• Isaiah Brindamour's 8K times in his last three meets of 2021 were all separated by 10 seconds. He ran a 28:08 at UW-La Crosse, followed that up with a 28:10 at the MIAC Championships and ended the year with a career-best 28:00 at the NCAA Regional.
