WINONA, Minn. — Owen Ziegler (Mount Horeb, Wis.) of the Saint Mary's University men's basketball team earned College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® honors, it was announced Tuesday.
 
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
Athletes must carry a 3.50 grade-point-average on a 4.0 scale, have appeared in 50 percent of the team's contests, and made a significant impact on the field of competition to be eligible. A Finance / Business Intelligence & Analytics double-major, Ziegler carries a 3.64 cumulative GPA in the classroom, while sporting a 12.6 ppg scoring average and a school-record 83 3-pointers on the court.
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early March.
