• 1 + 1: Eric Stomberg (St. Paul, Minn.) and Dylan Westcott (Holmen, Wis.) combined to limit St. Scholastica to just two hits in five innings of shutout relief in the Cardinal baseball team’s sweep of the Saints last Monday. Westcott limited CSS to one hit in three innings in SMU’s 6-2 Game 1 win, while Stomberg surrendered just one hit in two innings in the nightcap, a 9-2 Cardinal win.
• 1 x 2: Reese Berg and Alex Crusan each recorded their first two collegiate hits in the Cardinal baseball team’s 9-8 Game 2 loss to St. Olaf last Saturday. Berg finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Crusan was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored.

• 4 x 2: Samantha Kubes (New Prague, Minn.) picked up a pair of fourth-place finishes for the SMU women’s track and field team at last Friday’s University of Dubuque Good Friday Invitational, placing fourth in both the hammer throw (47.25m) and shot put (11.51m),
• 5: Heather Nordlund (Byron, Minn.) collected five hits in seven at-bats in the SMU fastpitch softball team’s split with Hamline in the teams’ conference-opener last Monday. Nordlund went 3-for-3 in Game 1, before adding a 2-for-4 showing in the nightcap.
• 6: Six of the SMU fastpitch softball team’s eight hits in Game 1 against Carleton last Saturday were doubles.
