WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's hockey team continued its winning ways last weekend, picking up a second straight Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference sweep.

And freshman
Celia Midtbo (Minneapolis, Minn.) was a driving force in the Cardinals' offensive charge, having a hand in four of the Cardinals' seven goals in their 4-0, 3-1 sweep of St. Catherine.
Â
The effort did not go unnoticed, either, as Midtbo was named the MIAC Offensive Player of th Week when the league office announced its weekly award winners Monday afternoon.
Â
Midtbo kicked off her weekend with a goal and an assist in last Friday's 4-0 victory, and put together a perfect encore in the rematch, once again scoring once and assisting on another in SMU's 3-1, sweep-clinching victory the following afternoon.
Â
In her first year as a Cardinal, Midtbo has scored six goals and added eight assists for 14 points.
Â
Midtbo and the Cardinals have a busy week ahead, hosting Lawrence in a 4 p.m. nonconference game on Tuesday, before squaring off against Bethel for a home-and-home conference series Friday and Saturday.
