WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's hockey team extended its run in the USCHO.com Poll to three straight weeks on Monday.

Despite a 4-1 win over Lawrence and a 2-0, 4-3 sweep of Bethel last weekend, however, the Cardinals — winners of eight straight — slipped from No. 13 to No. 14 when this week's poll was announced.

The top six spots in this week's poll remained the same, with unbeaten UW-River Falls the unanimous No. 1 selection, followed by Gustavus, Plattsburgh, Amherst, Adrian and Middlebury.

The Cardinals (15-4-0 overall) — whose only losses this season have been a 3-1 setback to No. 1 UW-River Falls, 3-1 and 3-0 losses to No. 2 Gustavus, and a 2-1 loss to Hamline — return to action this weekend, with a pair of MIAC games against Saint Benedict at the SMU Ice Arena. Saint Mary's will host the Bennies at 7 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
