WINONA, Minn. - The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its annual women's volleyball awards on Wednesday. Saint Mary's landed one on the post season awards list.

Kali Olson, the middle hitter from New York Mills, Minnesota, notched her first career MIAC Honor of an All-Conference player after leading her team in points and kills with 348 kills on the season, 634 total kills of her two-year career.

The sophomore started in all 29 matches hitting (.218) percent on 863 total attacks. In her last road game of the season, Olson recorded a season high 22 kills with two service aces against Hamline November, 2nd, 2024.

She had a team and season high eight blocks in the five-set thriller to take down UW-La Crosse early to start the year.

Olson was sixth in the MIAC in kills recording an average of (3.25) kills a set and third in the conference with total blocks hauling in 82 on the season.

The powerful middle hitter collected 405 points this year which ranks her fourth in the conference.

Olson led her team to an overall record of 9-20 but fell short in the tough conference play as the Cardinals went 0-11 but tallied big wins in non-conference action.
Conference coaches selected Gustavus senior setter Kasie Tweet as the MIAC Offensive Player of the Year, while St. Olaf junior defensive specialist Morgan Ryan received the MIAC Defensive Player of the Year honor, and Augsburg first-year outside hitter Ava Carlson was named MIAC Rookie of the Year. Gustie head coach Rachelle Sherden was celebrated by her peers as the MIAC Coach of the Year.
