12/5/2024 4:32:00 PM

WINONA, Minn. - The awards keep pouring in for Saint Mary's women's soccer senior Dakota Leonard (Lincolnshire, Ill.). The United Soccer Coaches revealed the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's All-Americans on Thursday evening, with Leonard earning Third-Team All-American honors.

From First-Team All-Conference to Conference Defensive Player of the Year, to First-Team All-Region IX, and now Third-Team All-American, Leonard has more than earned these accolades.
She will become the 20th women's soccer player in Saint Mary's history to receive All-American honors and the first to earn the distinction since 1995. She is among 51 student-athletes in the nation to be recognized.

Leonard contributed to the team's 11 shutouts, starting every match and scoring three goals on the season—making her just the second defender in the conference to accomplish this. The senior played a key role in leading her team to the program's first conference championship game, contributing significantly to the strong defensive unit that anchored the Cardinals.

This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony on Saturday, January 11, 2025 in Chicago, Ill., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
