PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The women's soccer team traveled to Platteville, Wis. for a non-conference matchup against the undefeated Pioneers Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals lost allowing a goal in each half for the 0-2 score.

th minute, the Cardinals had their first two true attempts at a goal with two corner kicks, both cleared out by the defense. Â

Lauren Ashe had the first and second shot on goal of the game at the 50
th and 59
th minute, which was the Pioneers goalies first saves of the game.

The Pioneers turned around and found the back of the net at the 61
st minute for a two-goal deficit for the Cardinals.

The best look all game for the Cardinals came with 12 minutes left as
Brooklyn McKinney took a good shot off a free kick that was saved at the bottom right of the goal. The late chances were not enough as the Cardinals were shut out by the undefeated Pioneers.

The Cardinals are 3-1-1 on the season and return to action Wednesday, Sept. 18
th in St. Paul versus St. Catherine at 4pm.
