WINONA, Minn. — Saint Mary's University is excited to invite fans, families, and the community to the sixth annual Cardinal Hockey Ice Breaker Day, set for Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena and kicks off the 2025-26 hockey season.

This fun-filled day is a celebration of Cardinal hockey and community spirit, featuring free admission to both women's and men's hockey games, outdoor fall activities, and family-friendly entertainment.

The day begins at 2:00 p.m., as the Cardinal women's hockey team faces off against Milwaukee School of Engineering. After the game, fans are encouraged to stick around for the Kid Zone and outdoor festivities running from 4:00-7:00 p.m., featuring yard games, crafts, coloring sheets, fire pits with s'mores, hot beverages, and live music.

In a fan-favorite tradition, the "Skate With The Cardinals" event returns from 4:00–5:00 p.m. giving attendees the unique opportunity to lace up their skates and hit the ice alongside members of both Saint Mary's hockey teams. Don't forget your skates!

The excitement continues into the evening with the Cardinal men's hockey team taking on the University of Wisconsin Stout at 7:00 p.m.

Whether you're a die-hard hockey fan or just looking for a great day of community fun, Cardinal Ice Breaker Day has something for everyone.
