WINONA, Minn. — As the final week of November winds down, there's still plenty of action ahead for Saint Mary's Athletics heading into Thanksgiving.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY — BYE WEEK

The Saint Mary's women's hockey team (2-4-0, 1-3-0) gets a breather this week after splitting its conference series with St. Catherine. The Cardinals impressed on the road Friday with a 4–2 victory, but suffered a tough setback at home Saturday, falling in overtime after the Wildcats scored with just six seconds left.

Saint Mary's returns to the ice December 5–6 when they host Concordia (MN).

MEN'S HOCKEY — ONE-GAME WEEK

After a week away from competition, the Saint Mary's men's hockey team (4-1-1, 2-0-0) heads back into action on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The Cardinals travel to Milwaukee for a 7 p.m. matchup against a strong MSOE squad coming off a big weekend win over No. 11 Trine.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL — PLATTEVILLE TOURNAMENT

It was a standout week for the women's basketball team (3-1), which rolled past Crown College 80–36 and followed with a commanding 97–63 win over Bethany Lutheran. Sophomores Brianna Nusbaum (28 points) and Julia Koch (19 points) powered the Cardinals with career-best performances.

Next up: a trip to UW–Platteville for tournament play, where Saint Mary's faces Grinnell College on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 5:15 p.m., before taking on Simpson on Sunday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL — TWO ON THE ROAD

Still chasing their first victory of the season, the Saint Mary's men's basketball team (0-5) looks to bounce back after losses to Bethany Lutheran and Crown. The Cardinals hit the road twice this week, Tuesday at Lake Forest (6 p.m.) and Saturday at Marian (1 p.m.), for two opportunities to break into the win column.
