WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's programs took a week off to celebrate the holidays before gearing up to close out 2025 and kick off 2026.

WEEK ON THE ROAD FOR WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Saint Mary's women's basketball team (9-1, 3-0) is preparing for a week on the road as they have two big games ahead. Tomorrow, Dec. 29, the Cardinals will travel to Fargo, North Dakota to take on the Bison of North Dakota State University for the programs first ever meeting.

The matchup serves as an exhibition game and does not affect the teams overall record but will mark an experience of a lifetime as it will be the first time in program history that the women's basketball team plays a division one opponent. It also marks the final game of nonconference.

On Saturday, Jan. 3, the Cardinals will travel to take on Macalester for a 1:00 p.m. tip off to kick off the new year.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ROAD GAMES

Following a big 73-67 home win over the UW-Stout Blue Devils last Saturday, the Saint Mary's men's basketball team (1-10, 0-3) is eager to keep the momentum going as they travel to Superior, Wisconsin for a final nonconference game at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 29.

The team will then travel to Macalester following the women's game at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3 for their first game of the new year and jumping back into conference action.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY RETURN TO THE ICE

After just under a month of no action, the Saint Mary's women's hockey team (3-5-0, 2-4-0) returns to the ice for two nonconference games. Following the New Year celebration, the team will travel to Stevens Point, Wisconsin to take on the Pointers on Friday, Jan. 2 at 2:00 p.m. for the first game of the New Year.

The Cardinals will then make the drive back to host the Pointers on Saturday, Jan. 3 for a 3:00 p.m. puck drop to close out the week.

We are excited to get back into action and see our amazing fans, go Cardinals!
