BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for basketball and hockey on Monday. Student-athletes from Hamline, Saint Benedict, Saint Mary's, and St. Olaf claimed the Conference's weekly honors.

Brianna Nusbaum powered the Cardinals' offense to wins over Carleton (12/3) and Gustavus (12/6). Nusbaum posted 21 points in a 64-48 win over the Knights on 12/3 before pouring in 24 points in the Cardinals' 83-73 double overtime upset of Gustavus on 12/6. Nusbaum forced OT with a clutch three-pointer with less than a minute to play in regulation to help the Cardinals improve to 7-1 on the year, securing the program's best start to a season in a decade.

Adam Prokop stopped a combined 80 shots in the Cardinals' series split with Concordia over the weekend. Prokop - who entered the weekend with a single-game career-high of 30 saves - made 43 stops in a loss to the Cobbers on 12/5 before recording 37 saves in the Cardinals' bounce-back win the following afternoon. Both performances rank among the ten highest single-game save performances in the MIAC this season.
