ST. PETER, Minn. - On Saturday, the Saint Mary's women's tennis team endured a challenging day, first facing the No. 22 ranked Gusties in the afternoon, followed by a match against the Carleton Knights for a doubleheader of two top teams.
 
In doubles, teammates Emily Dondelinger and Emily Henderson battled hard in a close first match against the ranked Gusties but ultimately fell 8-4.
 
The Cardinals were ultimately swept by both the Gusties and the Knights, making it a long day.
 
Head coach Jeff Halberg stated, "It took a great team to beat us."
 
The Cardinals are back in action on February 21^st at Bethel for a 6:30 p.m. match up.
