WINONA, Minn. - This Wednesday, February 26th, the Saint Mary's University women's hockey team will take on St. Olaf in the MIAC Playoff Quarterfinal, hosting the game at 7:00 p.m. in the SMU Ice Arena!
The Cardinals (15-10-1) have secured the fourth seed in the tournament, while the Oles (12-12-1) are seeded fifth.
In his first year as head coach, Heath Isaacson has guided the team to a second consecutive postseason tournament.
"The MIAC Quarterfinal game represents unfinished business for the team. At the start of the season, the players and staff set goals, and the game tomorrow is a chance for us to continue the journey of achieving those goals." Said Isaacson. "What makes it special is that we get to start it off in front of our own fans, in our arena."
The game will feature a WHITE OUT theme—fans are encouraged to wear white, and the SMU athletic department will provide white rally towels! It's shaping up to be a game you won't want to miss.
The two teams split their regular-season series last weekend, and the winner will move on to face top-seeded Augsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, in Minneapolis.
Tickets for the quarterfinal games are on sale with the link provided. Tickets for the semifinals will be available to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26. All tickets for the 2025 MIAC Playoffs will be sold and purchased online via
HomeTown Ticketing.
The Saint Mary's athletic department will cover the cost of student entry to postseason games when they present a valid student ID at the door!
The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, March 8, in the 2025 MIAC Women's Hockey Playoff championship game. The MIAC Playoff champion will receive the postseason championship plaque and the Conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Tournament.
