WINONA, Minn. - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team (6-6) faced a challenging match on Saturday afternoon, as they were swept 9-0 by a strong Macalester team (5-1) at home.
 
The Cardinals lost all three doubles matches to surrender the doubles point. 
 
Senior Evan Huemoeller and Freshman Gavin Pratt kept their doubles match close ultimately falling 8-6.
 
The Scots were able to sweep the six singles matches in straight sets to win the dual. 
 
Junior Philip Apel fought hard in his match at No. 3 singles before falling, 6-3, 6-4. 
 
Next up for the Cardinals is a non-league dual against Anderson University on Monday, March 3rd in Florida for day one of the Spring Break tournament. The match begins at 9:30 a.m. EST.
