WINONA, Minn. - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team (11-6) was the only squad in action on Friday evening, hosting St. Catherine (8-2) for their sole duel of the week. The team came up short, losing 8-1 in the conference matchup.
Â
It wasn't the Cardinals night, as they were swept 6-0 by the Wildcats in singles play. Emily Dondleinger pushed her opponent to a tiebreaker but came up just short, nearly securing the closest set of the day.
Â
She made up for it alongside her doubles partner,
Emily Henderson, as the pair secured the team's only victory of the night, winning 8-6.
Â
The Cardinals will be back in action at home next Saturday, March 29th, hosting Hamline for Senior Night, with the match starting at 1:30 p.m.
