BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its annual award recipients for Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field on Thursday, capping off an outstanding championship meet last weekend.
After one of the most successful track and field seasons in years, 11 members of the Saint Mary's track and field team earned conference honors.
On the men's side,
Ben Kritsberg,
Ryan Cramer,
Jinwoo Jung, and
Oliver Adamson picked up All-Conference honors in the 4x100m relay with a time of 41.80.
Rounding out the conference honors, the women received seven honors.Â
Starting the list off with the 4x100m relay,
Zari Young,
McKenzie Munson,
Melissa Torres, and
Samantha Munson also picked up All-Conference honors with their recorded time of 48.09.
Young received back to back All-Conference honors in the 100m also claiming back to back titles with a historic time of 11.88.
S. Munson, also a member of the 4x100 relay team, earned honorable mention in the 100m with a time of 12.29 seconds.
Mya Slavin earned honorable mention in the 1500m run with a time of 4:48.63.
Xara Gin received honorable mention in the pole vault with a mark of 3.28 meters.
Senior leader
Morgan Wallendal earned honorable mentions in both the women's shot put, with a throw of 12.30 meters, and the hammer throw, with a mark of 49.83 meters.
It was an impressive season for the teams, who now look to their young talent to elevate their performance even further next year.
