NEW ORLEANS, La. - Concluding the track and field season on a high note, the Saint Mary's women's track and field team earned a prestigious spot on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, thanks to their impressive 3.48 team GPA.

The criteria, set by the USTFCCCA, for being recognized as an NCAA Division III All-Academic Team says a team must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale. This GPA is based on all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility and includes coursework through the most recent semester or quarter.

17 athletes from the Cardinal track and field team earned spots on the spring Dean's List, with three also receiving Academic All-District honors. 

These were key accomplishments that played a major role in securing this prestigious academic recognition for the team.
