WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's women's tennis team (3-0) is on fire to start the season, improving to 3-0 overall and 3-0 at home with a dominant 6-1 win over Concordia Wisconsin (5-5-1) on Friday at the Winona Tennis Center.
The Cardinals set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to grab quick momentum, then carried that energy into singles play. Saint Mary's rolled to wins across the lineup, showcasing depth, confidence, and chemistry as the undefeated start continues.
Singles victories came from Elena Ruzevich, who swept her opponent across the board, Emily Dondelinger, Taylor DePover, Olivia Molumby, and Maddie Jensen. While doubles wins were earned by the teams of Ruzevich and Dondelinger, Aheli Patel and Molumby, and DePover and Kathryn Stiegel.
With three straight wins and a perfect home record, the Cardinals are building serious early-season momentum.
They will enjoy an extended break before heading up the the cities to take on University of Northwestern (MN) on Saturday, February 14th for a 12:30 p.m. start time.
