WINONA, Minn. – Seven members of the Saint Mary's University men's and women's hockey programs have been recognized as American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Krampade All-American Scholars, honoring student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence both on the ice and in the classroom.

To earn AHCA Krampade All-American Scholar recognition, student-athletes must post a 3.75 grade-point average during each semester of the academic year while appearing in at least 40 percent of their team's games.

The Cardinal men's program was represented by four honorees, led by junior Cole Mickel earning First-Team All-American Scholar honors, who capped off a standout season by also earning AHCA First Team All-America honors—his second national recognition of the year. Joining Mickel on the All-American Scholar list were seniors Jack Campion, Blake Arneson, and Colin Tushie.

The quartet helped lead the Cardinals back to the MIAC Playoffs while also excelling academically. All four earned Academic All-MIAC honors and College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition during the 2025-26 season.

The Saint Mary's women's hockey team placed three student-athletes on the AHCA Krampade All-American Scholar list with seniors Taryn Dornseif and Teagan Phillips joined by junior Sophia Paduano.

Like their counterparts on the men's team, the Cardinal women combined success in the classroom with strong performances on the ice. The trio also earned Academic All-MIAC and CSC Academic All-District honors while helping Saint Mary's finish the season with a 9-14-2 overall record.
