The last four-and-a-half years of my life have been awesome. It’s been filled with ups and downs but mostly ups. I’d like to first thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to attend a university unlike so many others. Thanks to my mom and dad, who have been very supportive and patient with me through all my years here. Thanks to all my professors past and present, the staff here at SMU and all my friends. Everyone has been great.

I am definitely appreciative for the game of basketball. I’ve formed so many bonds and learned so much from the game. My teammates past and present have been nothing shot of great. Thanks to all of you. You’ve all helped me one way or another whether it was with shooting or just confidence. I am definitely going to miss all our times in the locker room, on the bus, practices and games. We’ve fought tough with the best teams and came up short, but never once did I notice a sign of giving up. I love all you guys very much. Thanks family. Thanks Coach Todd, Coach Kevin and Coach B. All three of you from the first day of practice have taught the game with great passion and I hope someday I can share what I’ve learned with a group of kids. Thank you guys for helping me grow as a player and a person.

I’ve enjoyed being here at SMU and everyone who I have met. All my experiences have been so good. I have met so many great friends and formed relationships for a lifetime. My years at SMU have helped me grow up and be more independent. I have learned to take care of my own actions and be a better person for my future. Thanks to all my professors who called me Boots instead of my given name, that showed me how much they care and wanted me to feel comfortable. I am going to miss that about SMU. There is a big family feeling here and it shows when professors are open and want to help you succeed.

Thank you everyone. It’s been a great time both academically and socially. I’ll miss the experiences that I’ve had. I’m not ready to be an adult yet but I’ve been given the tools and will use them well.
