Kelsey Bids Farewell

Kelsey Bids Farewell

Well, here it is — the infamous Senior Salute. I cannot believe that it has already been 18 years of soccer, over 65 seasons of soccer, and millions of memories. I am so happy that I have done them all. Soccer is such a wonderful sport played by millions. It is something that has taught me lessons on and off the field, but most importantly it’s made me who I am. I don’t know what I would be doing without it. Soccer has truly lead me down a path to where I am now along with the help of many important people in my life.

Dad: Thank you for always supporting me on and off the soccer field. I truly appreciate everything that you do for me. It is always so fun to have you watch my play a sport a really love. Thank you for being such a great role model to all of us kids. Jaleh I am so happy we all joined as one family this year! It is so nice to have you, Yasmin, and Sherwin in our lives. Thanks for supporting me in everything that I do.

Mom: Thank you for all the endless drives to and from practices, all the games, and for listening to the joys and complaints along the way. It is such a pleasure to have you be there for me along the road of soccer. Thank you for also being a great role model. Guli thanks for coming to my games and supporting me. It is so nice to have you support me in the things I do.

Katie, Matt, Jess: Well, if there is anyone that I look up to, it is definitely you three. You three have always been there for me, even though sometimes you weren’t the nicest. I always knew that I could count on you guys for anything. I don’t think that I could have asked for three better older siblings. You really do help me succeed more than you know. Matt and Jess, you both married wonderful people this year. I truly am so happy to have both of them join our family. They also are amazing people that I get to look up to and get to call family. Katie, well, I guess we’re left … We still have time this year to get married... Double wedding?

Grandma: You are, and always will be my best friend. You truly were my biggest fan of all the time and you never saw any bad in me. I hope you know how much your positivity made me be a better person. You are a wonderful role model that I was so lucky to have in my life. This season was truly for you. I love so much. Keep shining down on us.

Matt: You are a wonderful person inside and out with a wonderful family. I couldn’t have asked for a better boyfriend. Thank you for being there for me through all the struggles and joys. It is always so nice to have someone there that I can always lean on and count on. Thank you for everything. I love you.

Coaches: Thank you so much for everything that you have done. It may have not been the easiest three years, but it was a successful three years. Thank you for always believing in me and the team. I think that you three as coached can make this program very successful and take it to places it hasn’t been for a while. Thank you for always keeping our team positive and helping our team chemistry become a main priority. It has only made our team better and our friendships on and off the field stronger.

Ambjor: Well, we are both from the same town/area/location, which makes you pretty sweet to start out with even though you live in Winona now I won’t hold that against you. Thank you for taking care of me all through the season with all of my lovely injuries. I am going to miss seeing you every day after our season is over, but I will come down and visit. I can’t wait to have my weekly meals cooked for me the season, sibs and I will enjoy that greatly! Also, don’t worry we will keep working out that situation... you know the one I’m talking about. I can’t wait for the big day!! By the way your dog is huge, but cute he’s kind of like a black Clifford.

To my teammates that make this team what it is. This may be the best group of girls I have ever played with. Each and every one of you is absolutely talented in your own way. We have accomplished a lot this year and I think that is something to be very proud of. I love you all! To Tessa, Kenzie, Katie, Teri, Beth, and Megan, you guys are an amazing freshman class. Keep working hard like all of you do, and you can take this program far in your next three years. It has been so fun getting to know all of you and having you as teammates. I am excited to see what the rest of the school year brings. Tessa just so you know my face still doesn’t appreciate your elbow... thanks. To Kate, well once again way to be the only sophomore. Your skill makes up for about 6 people so you’re fine. You are one talented player; keep working hard and hurting people (just not so much your teammates) and you will be unstoppable in the back. To the juniors, you group of girls are another group of outstanding players that this team builds its foundation on. Keep working together and stay connected. You have one more year to dominate and I know you will. Kelsey and Kelsey, I’m going to miss you guys next year. I know it’s going to be hard having Kelsey #1 gone, but I’ll come back and visit. You should also probably leave a space in our chant before games for me, I don’t know if anyone can fill that spot. Keep being Kelsey’s and don’t let anyone tell you that they are better than a Kelsey (like hi, just not possible.) Kels b – true story I’m going to miss sleeping in your bed… weird. Ash – what can I say the only thing I can think of is team NOT SFP and FSU well that goes with kels brown too. (You two are just so team oriented). Just keep doing what you’re doing and well good luck. Amanda – keep up the good work and scoring goals! You are an amazing all around player, which makes you a great asset to the team. Keep up the hard work. Cassie- thanks for stepping up this year and being goalie. You do an outstanding job back there! I always love shooting on you in practice. Caitlyn – way to be a leader on the team this year. You are also an amazing player. Make sure to continue to lead next year, and lead them further than this year. Sloane, well welcome to the team, I’m glad you came. SMU will ALWAYS be BETTER than UST, just remember that! I love playing with you except when you dangle me then it really isn’t fun anymore. So keep up the dangling, but keep it for everyone but me?. Rachhhh- I’m going to miss hanging out with you on the field. I really enjoy our chats we have when you guard me, but really I just like you and your positivity. You are an amazing player and a wonderful leader. Keep leading people look up to you and you will take this team far. Remember the muffin joke??? I do. Eleanor – well where to start. You keep working hard and you will achieve what you want, I promise. It is such a pleasure to have you around sense you know everything its pretty convenient. You are a great person and I hope you know you’re really fun to sit by in class….. To my fellow seniors: It’s been fun, real fun. I once had a quote for our class, but I forgot it (Amy thank you for helping me remember it…), but it was something like always classy… something else. Obviously a pretty true statement. To Tania: you are a great leader on and off the field. It has been so fun playing with you and hanging out with you in school. It will be sad when we are all gone next year. Fridel: oh myyy is all I have to say. Well thanks for being mine and Amys personal photographer, assistant, and parent while in England much appreciated by all. Also, thanks for being mine and Amys personal chauffer, parent, and assistant while at school. Your kind tasks of taking care of everything sibik and I do are not forgotten. But for real thanks for not setting your alarm in England when we were supposed to get up for training... Seriously though, fridel you’re a great person and a great friend! It has been so nice getting to know you over the last couple years. I’m sorry that moose likes to play fetch with you, but sometimes baggers can’t be choosers. Also, I am sorry that I beat you’re in cranium and big brain; I can’t help that I am way smarter than you! SIBBBIK- o hey! Well sibs what can I say you have 101 points and I have 4... Jealous? Where to start it has been so fun living with you over the past two years! I couldn’t have asked for a better housemate! You are an outstanding soccer player and a wonderful leader! I am going to miss not playing with you anymore. I had a lot (maybe too much) fun with you in England. I’m sure England never wants us back. All I can say is fire alarm ... really?? Coach loves us from that night ... right coach?? Moose- you’re a great cat, thanks for always making a lot of noise, smelling bad, and brining alive/dead animals into our house. Much appreciated.

To 808 West 9th Street apartment A. You guys are the best! Freshman year was a wonderful year with all of you and TG. Sophomore year as fun filled with bubba, chunker, and K-dog (I love when people hide in stair cases).Junior year was different we all lived off campus and became a little separated, but we were all there for each other no matter what. You guys are some of the best friends that I have ever made. Jo- I am sorry that you may or may not be the coolest mangan, and well your brother I can’t wait to marry him one day. Thanks for always being there. Remember this: softball is not as cool as soccer. I like bama. Megs – Thanks for always being there no matter what. It’s been so fun hanging out with you over the past three plus years. It was really fun getting yosh with you (not to spark bad memories), but he’s probably loving where he is, but missing you of course. Beaner – I love that name. Thanks for always being there as well. I very much enjoy hanging out with you and causing trouble. Gabagail – I like that name too even though everyone copies me on it. Thanks for being there for me always as well. I very much enjoy spending time with you. Stuaf- you are a wonderful person. Keep working hard and you will be rewarded. Thank you for being there for me always as well. All of you remember this forever: MINNESOTA >Chicago…. ? Rachel – thanks for being a great friend. I enjoy our trips to Prescott and always hanging out at the guy’s house. I also enjoy our love for Minnesota while everyone hates on it. Tara just thought I would put you in here because you wanted to be in one, so there you go Tara Bassi. Cati and France- I very much enjoy living with you guys this year. I also enjoy logging all of the hours on the puzzle. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

It has been an amazing three years here on the soccer team. I have learned so much and I have grown so much. Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in my growth. I will always remember this experience. Thank you!!
