Senior / Goalie / Irving, Texas / Sports Management Major

All I have ever wanted was to have played college hockey. I was very fortunate to have had the privilege of playing at Saint Mary’s University. I can honestly look back and be proud of what I have accomplished on and off the ice in my four years at here. Since I grew up and played hockey in Texas, just to have made it this far, feels like a real accomplishment. I can honestly say that I feel like I have tried and done my best. I will never forget the experience I have had and the memories I have made.

There were many emotions that ran through me when playing hockey at Saint Mary’s, some good and some not so good. I could not ask for a better people to be around then the ones here at this school. I have to thank everybody that I have played with for the past three years. Without all of yawl, everything would not have been as great as it was. My roommate’s Jake, Brian, and Colin, playing with you guys was probably the most fun I have had playing hockey. I want to thank Firl and Ace for supporting me and being there for me in my last season. I want to thank Coach Olson for giving me a chance to play especially after being injured my freshman year. I appreciate all the coaches and staff for all that you have done for me. To the guys on the team thank you again for making me feel like a hockey player. Go Cardinals!

Most important of all I have to thank my family. I cannot put into words my appreciation for all that you have done. Nana and Papa, thank you so much for always believing in me and being on my shoulder every time I was on the ice. Your support helped me become the hockey player and person I am today, for that I am truly grateful. Dad, you have taught me more about hockey and life than anyone else in the world. I will always remember the long talks after games, before practices, or out on the porch. You would never let me feel sorry or down about myself. You helped push me to become the best goalie I could be, you were critical yet supportive. You always made me look for ways to get better and strive to be perfect, thank you! Mom, there is no way I could ever repay you for everything you have done for me. To tell you thank you or that I’m grateful would be a big understatement. Your support for me playing a tough position in a tough sport is amazing. No matter how bad it got you made sure I knew to just keep trying my best. You taught me to be a strong person and that you have to work hard for something to earn it.  Thank you so much for always caring and cheering me on. I know you and Dad just wanted to see me do well, I could not have asked for a better family. Kevin, Steven, Natalie, Megan and to the rest of my family thank you for putting up with all of the hockey throughout the years, I hope you have enjoyed it. I love you all!
