Juamaine Bids Farewell

Juamaine Bids Farewell

As I look back on the 4-½ years I have been at Saint Mary’s, I wonder where has the time gone? What is time? (Rademacher & Boussie) just kidding. The time I have spent here has been nothing but fun, in and out of soccer. Soccer has been the only sport I have ever played and it is going to be hard knowing that I will never play at this high of a level of competition again. Over these years I have made many friends who I hope to stay in contact with; also I have met an amazing girl that has opened my eyes to many things.

First off I must thank my family because without them none of this would be possible. Dad—you are the greatest man in the world, you would do anything in your power to make Pascaul and I happy, I am very happy dad thank you. You do your best to come to all of my games unless you are in Singapore, Columbia or some other country, and even then you wake up at who knows what time just to watch the live game stats online. Thank you for all of the soccer equipment you have supplied me with throughout my career, ranging from cleats (boots), jerseys and even painting a goal on the back of our neighbors garage, so I can practice all day. Thank you for all that you have done to help me succeed, if I could grow up to be half the man you are I would be happy. I know I don’t say it much, but I love you dad! Oh yeah thanks for cleaning Ziggy’s litter box while I have been at school.

Mom—I love you! Thank you for all that you have done for me. Driving me to and from soccer practice and games in that Bug with no heat, to getting a red and black cast on your foot to show your team support in high school. I really enjoyed/enjoy our afternoon phone calls, as soon as im done with class I call you to see how your day is going, EVERY DAY. Some times you don’t answer, but im ok with that because I heard when people get old their hearing goes first ?.  Thanks for coming to all the games you have with treats and goods in a bag. I love you so much. Thanks for putting a couple of pounds on the Zigmeister.

Pascaul—thanks for coming to the games bro, it means a lot and I try harder knowing that you’re in the stands watching me play. Too bad I couldn’t beat you at least once during our college careers, but the day will come when I do beat you. It’s been real, thanks for your help and advice when I was stuck in school and soccer. Love you man. P.S. tell your teammates/roommate’s thanks for all they have done; it’s a lot of fun going up to your house to hang out.

Granny Pat—I was expecting Ziggy to come watch my game then to my surprise I see you!! Best surprise yet. Thank you for coming to America for my senior year it means more to me then you know. The one good thing about the end of the soccer season is I get to come home more often and spend more time with you. Thanks and love you.

Old Granny—I know your not here, but it’s really nice to get that text from you before every game wishing me good luck. Also thanks for always keeping me updated on the Manchester United games; we will watch a game together soon, even though you are still in South Africa! Love you Gran.

Volini—Glad to see your aging well… just kidding, but you are a really good friend and im glad I got to know you, even though I would disappear freshman year I always found my way back. It’s been awesome hearing you yelling on the sidelines. You were one of the best roommate’s I ever had. Hope to see you more when I graduate in December.

Jon—You are one of the two nastiest goalies I have ever played with (you prolly know who the other one is). When we got beat up the field I would think to my self, ok Jon’s got this one, and 9 times out of 10 you did. You saved us too many time brotha. That goal at Saint Johns was sick, more point than Lucas baby!! England was too much fun running from security and all the other shenanigans we got into. One good thing about Tuesday night games was going back to the house to watch Sons. Good times, United’s better than Liverpool, peace homie.

Rad—Where to start kid. You were one of my first friends at Mary’s and there have been too many good times to put in this salute. “Rawr spare your change” “tonight we dance… with swords”. Coaching was fun dude, plus we had a sick record. What is Everton going to do without Arteta? Get relegated? Who knows? The best times we had was watching EPL every Saturday and Sunday morning no matter what time we went to be the night before we were always up to watch the games. Miss you man hope you show tonight.

Booz— Not sure if you will see this but it was awesome when kids couldn’t believe that’s what were calling you on the field. The forward connection was always there man, except freshman year when we played every position except goalie, even though you were sick at goalie wars. Gas peddle.

Adair—Your awesome man you don’t even know… too much fun dominating intramurals, champions 3 out of the 4 years not too bad. Good luck living with Adam next year haha just kidding. But seriously you have been through the ups and downs with me so I expect to keep in touch.

Adam—What’s up my fellow super senior? We own Heffron, at least we think we do, those stairs are going to kill us in the future. I can’t believe the pitch report (British accent ) is coming to an end. Good luck at the zoo and bring me an animal sometime.

Bobby—Harry potter? You have changed since your recruiting trip, but I like this bobby better haha. Chopped and screwed HEEEAA! I’ve heard too many stories about you in high school and I kind of wish I was there…wait what? Go Ducks, or Badgers I guess that ok. Say thanks to our #1 fan Mr. Gas.

Neu—You have the best taste in music….NOT! But it’s been fun living with you. Thanks to Greg and Cindy for shacking and feeding us during the COD tourney. The best memories I have is hearing music blasting from down stairs, going down there and seeing you with your shirt tied around your head dancing and singing backstreet boys. Priceless.

Chris-get a hair cut Fabio haha. Just messing with you man, but you helped Adam and I run Heffron, it helped that people are scared of you cause of the music coming from your room.

Kam—“Do you want to go to the local deli to get some lunch meat?”(Georgia accent. Your sick muscle hamster, some of the best foot skills I have ever seen. Keep up the hard work and make sure you keep that God-like body. Rooney is better than Messi.

Gunnar—I’m pretty sure everyone will do this, but HEEEEEAAAAA!! How’s it going all MIAC? Best center back ive seen not question. You remind me of Ronaldo, if he was a center back. Bobby’s always chopped and screwed. Your one cool dude Goonar Stahl. “Good game captain duck, thanks Gunnar.” HEA HEA HEA HEEAA. I better see the Gunnar dance when you score next year.

Bina—The back of your truck is more comfortable than thought, especially with some Mc D’s. Now you will have a chance at winning intramurals. Just kidding, but you have improved so much through the years and after you switched your number. Keep it up kid.

Puff—Where did you come from man? Sick skills out there this year at left and right back, way to step up. Remember driving in your car with Bourgeon and Kelsey? Good times.

Meyer—“yeah the ladies love it” “mushroom poppy” outrageous fun. I’m pretty sure you sit on your computer all night and look up funny things on the Internet. Your one funny guy.

Luuucsh—Hey man the best part of my day is when I go to do the teams laundry I walk past the health office and see you. Thanks to you and Meyer for helping me with computer apps.

Highlighter—Never have I seen anyone wear the variety of color you do, but some how it works for you. Stay out of trouble for a while?

Phill—Too bad I never got to play with you dude, I know your sick. It’s been fun and you need to stay out of trouble too.

Loran—Your laundry will be done relax!! Just kidding. Don’t pull another neck muscle wrestling Zach.

Gabe—Are you going to be in the lab tonight? “Girls?” Nice job on making the most out of the chances you get. Thanks for all the “help” in computer apps.

Rhino—Best field goalie ive seen,

Graber—Hey Arnold the two times this year we slept together you scored? I think we need to hang out more. You got skills that pay the bills so keep doing what you do. If im ever in Colorado ill look you up. I really enjoy our late night talks. Remember keep your head up and move it football head.

Van Dam—240? That’s insane!! I’m getting you a Christmas present this year…an ALARM CLOCK. Just kidding. Like coach says what’s next move on kid you’re a great goalie who just needs a little help making it to the bus. BKD

Kelsey—hey babe, I’ve had so much fun with you these past few years. I’m so lucky to have you. Thanks for listening while I complain about refs and our games, it means a lot to me. I wish I were from Portland, so I could be as cool as you. One of these years the Wolves will beat the Blazers you just wait. Meow Meow Mu!! You’re the funniest girl in Minnesota and Oregon combined, even if some of your jokes are corny, haha. Thanks for making my trips to Portland so much fun, that place is way better than Minnesota. Thanks to Jerry and Sandy as well, Jerry, I don’t think I’ll be having 3 martinis at Sweet Basil anytime soon. I am so happy I have two of the coolest cats in the world, Ziggy and Kelsey! Meow Chica Meow Meow.

Freshmen—You guys are in a good spot right now, you have a great coach and the program is heading in the right direction, I can’t wait to watch you guys win the MIAC. Tito, Thomson, Lehi, Bean, Felipe, Bryan, Goose and anyone else I missed keep working hard and the results will come, best of luck to you guys.

Coach—you have changed this program, and the direction you are taking it looks great keep it up. I can’t wait to come back and watch these boys win the MIAC!! Good luck to you and the team.

Drew, DT, Coach—which ever it is thanks for your help and time with this team, I learned a lot from you. Hope to see you next year.

Pets—Ziggy you take after your mom!! I’ve never had a cat before, but I'm glad I have you. You are so much fun, but really moody… kind of like someone else I know ?. Cooper, you’re the best deaf dog a man could ask for — for being deaf you are smarter than a lot of other dogs. Yebo, what a ladies man/dog! I think we need to make a facebook for you, because there are so many pictures of you floating around the internet (appropriate ones). Taopi, I see you have gained a little weight? It looks good on you pooch, i have never had an international dog before, but you speak pretty good English.
