Patrick Bids Farewell
I would first like to start out by thanking all of the people that allowed me to have the opportunity to attend college and those who have stood by me through the up and downs of it all. Mom and dad, thank you for the endless opportunities and lessons you have given me throughout my life, from providing me with a private education, to lessons on the sports field, and to most importantly, how to be a good person during good times and bad. My brothers Mike, Dan, and John, I want to thank all of you for your support, and I hope nothing but success and happiness for all of you in your future.
To my Grandma Kay, your encouragement for me and for all your grandchildren is unwavering. Thank you for supporting me throughout my life and throughout my entire athletic career. I am grateful for having you be such a big part of my life.
Gary, you are one of the hardest workers I have ever met. If it wasn’t for you, I do not think I would be graduating this spring. You have helped me countless times with so many different things throughout our four years together. Your unique sense of humor always makes me laugh, and I hope you always keep it. Thanks for always being a good friend, and I hope that one day, even though you love Prescott, you will move to Chicago.
The Seifert Family, thank you Linda and Paul for all your support, hospitality, and kindness you have showed me while I was at Saint Mary’s. Clay, you are the man, and I hope your basketball career is a success. Cory, good luck in your future, we have had some great times together that I will always remember.
Lukas Holland for three, I am truly grateful to have met and played basketball with you for four years. You have so many different talents that will make you successful in whatever you do. You have always been a great friend and teammate to me, and I look forward to visiting you in California.
Mr. and Mrs. Holland, thank you for all your hospitality and for all the wonderful meals that you have provided me with throughout the years.
Danny, you already know this, but you are the guy. All I can say is thanks for being such a good friend throughout our college experience. We have had some good times and I know they will continue for the rest of this year and throughout our lives. I don’t know what I would have done without you, and another person, who left this school my sophomore year, whose name we shall not speak (Bradley). I hope your senior year is a breeze. I wish I could stay one more year with you.
Murph Man, thanks for being a loyal teammate and friend throughout these four years. We have had some great times together both at practice and during games. I hope we can get that round of golf in before we graduate. Good luck and I hope we can maintain our friendship after we graduate.
Will, not many people can say they have played eight years of basketball together. You have always been a good teammate and more importantly a good person. I enjoyed every second of our eight year career together, and I am truly going to miss it.
Ryan, I know you will be successful in whatever you do. I am grateful that you decided to come back to basketball, because you made everyone around you a better player and person. Good luck with teaching, I hope Kenny Powers is a great role model of the type of teacher you should try and become.
Timmy, I am going to miss both of us making fun of each other on a daily bases. You are a great guy and I hope your senior year is a success. I hope this summer I can make it up to the course so we can literally “drink them and sink them”.
Tommy, you are one of the coolest, most laid back guys I have ever met. You are not afraid to tell it how it is, and I really respect that. I have enjoyed every one of your stories, and I am going to miss you next year.
Brother Rod, this past year has been great. I enjoyed talking to you about many different things, one of them was Chicago basketball. You are a great person and teammate, and I am going to miss shooting the breeze with you before practice. Good luck and I hope you will give me a call whenever you’re by my house.
Josh, keep being the guy and keep on shooting the three. I hope your next two years at school are successful. Good luck Nature Boy!!!!
Murricane, it’s been fun battling with you every day in the post. You always played hard and that helped me and the rest of the posts to get better prepared for the next game. You’re a great guy and I know you will do awesome the next couple of years here at school.
Michael, keep playing hard and knocking down that J. I believe you will become one of the best post players in our league if you keep working hard. Good Luck brother.
Freeman, you are one of the most energetic people I know. Your enthusiasm and hustle on and off the court are unmatched. I am going to miss hearing you yell and talking with you about random topics. I know you will do awesome next year and I am happy you decided to come to school here. Good luck next year.
Chris, there couldn’t be a nicer guy on the team who plays as hard as you do. Keeping playing hard, you motivate everyone else on the court to try and match your intensity. I hope everything works out for you.
Matt Rubberdeals, thanks for putting up with all my nonsense throughout the years, I hope you know I was kidding, and that I think you are a good guy. Thanks for doing everything you do to help the team out. Good luck next year, Matt.
Jake, thanks for helping out this year and for doing all the little things that helped out our team. Good luck the rest of your time at school.
Mikey, thanks for taking care of me my freshmen, sophomore, junior, and pretty much all four years here. Your support, guidance, and advice has helped me throughout basketball and life. Thank you for being a good friend to me and I look forward to going to some Northern Iowa games with you.
Eric, I enjoyed all the good times we have had here together, both during basketball and during the off season. Your different insights about basketball have helped me to take on new perspectives about how things should be done. Thank you for your friendship and all your support throughout these four years, and I hope you come down a lot more now that you got your new job. And, Lost is not a good TV show.
Pat, Matt, Roy, Joey, Timmy, Chris, Jeff, and Zach thanks for being good roommates and more importantly good friends this year.
Fiore, Mike, Danny, Kyle, and Alex I want to thank all of you guys for taking me under your wing when I was a freshmen. You all played an important role in making me want to stay at Saint Mary’s for four years.

Coach Todd, thanks for being a great coach and teacher of the game. I am truly thankful for having you as a coach during my career. You have helped me become a better player and a better person. I know the amount of time you and Kevin put into this program and this team is endless. I already know I am going to miss playing for you after I graduate. Thanks for everything you have done for me and this team.
Coach Kevin, I don’t know how you have a million plays stored in your head at all times, but I think that is awesome. Thanks for all the time you have put into this team and program. I am going to miss having you referee our practices and calling bogus fouls on me.
Coach Adam, thanks for taking the time to come to all our games, I know it can’t be easy driving from the cities to Winona all the time. I hope Target does not fire you from the night shift.
Coach Biebel, thanks for helping me out these four years of school and for being a good guy to me. I am going to miss your funny stories and our conversations about life, and what I should and shouldn’t do with mine. Thanks for everything, and I hope to see you in Chicago this summer.
And finally to all of those who I may have missed, thank you.
