Well, I don’t really even know where to start — my baseball career has gone so fast. I remember sitting in Coach Winecke’s office Freshman year asking if I made the right choice of playing baseball in college. I can’t believe how long I have come since Freshman year. I don’t think I said over ten words my whole freshman year and now Mike Feriancek won’t stop yelling at me for talking. Easy Mike. I’ve had almost too much fun in my four years playing baseball and getting to know people at this school. I really enjoy spending time with my friends here at Saint Mary’s and hope that they will enjoy their opportunities that life gives them in their future.
The people I have met on and off the field have really shaped me into the person I am today and I know for sure that I will forget someone in my salute, but I would like to thank everyone that has helped me along the way. Especially the professors here at Saint Mary’s for being flexible 2nd semester and letting us baseball players miss class to attend games. As an elementary education major what I have learned in the classroom is invaluable as I begin my search for a teaching job and to begin my profession of molding young minds. I would like to thank; Dr. Mr. Sorvaag, Dr. Mrs. Sorvaag, Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Breza, and Dr. Luedtke for shaping me in to the teacher that will best help my students to succeed. Dr. Mrs. Sorvaag, my handwriting is not that bad right? Did you hear about that kidnapping? Jokes still on you Dr. Mrs. Sorvaag.
I wouldn’t be here if it was not for my hard-working parents. Mom and Dad, words cannot express how much and how thankful I am for you allowing me to go to school at Saint Mary’s. I am so glad that I took this school visit and choose to attend Saint Mary’s and the closeness to home. I could not have had more perfect parents; I definitely won the parent lottery! I would also like to thank both my Grandmothers Mary and Alice for attending my games and putting up with those hot days to enjoy a baseball game throughout my playing time.
Kenzie, I guess that you and Kevin can be boyfriend-girlfriend if you want. HAHA! Anyways, I should thank you for helping me to pass psychology freshman year and showing me how to actually study in college. Oh, so you actually read the textbook. Thanks for helping me off the field and the importance of grades. By the way, 3.0? IT’S A CELEBRATION!!!!
Sam and Abe, you may be taller than me, but I definitely can grow a beard and so I win! Thank you so much for attending my games and cheering for the teams that I played on. The day I am excited for is when you both play with me on the same team. Whitehall Wolves will be howling soon!
Yes, I’ll pay the fine fellas. Katie, the days and nights of you putting up with my crabby attitude after a loss or a rough game has been really important to me. I would like to thank you so much for making me feel like a champion and attending all of the games that I have played in since my high school. You are for sure my #1 fan, and I really enjoy having you at those games. I plan on playing for the Whitehall Wolves until I need double-knee surgery, so you have more games to attend. HEHE!
Tyler Manley, Paul Pehler, and Tim Von Drasek are three other people that I have to thank for helping me in my baseball endeavors. These three have helped me to appreciate the game and to trust my abilities on the diamond. Thanks for the help you three. Claymakers soon?
My best times during my four years of school at Saint Mary’s always included people on the baseball team. I times I have spent with you guys will never be forgotten and enjoyed every minute with you guys, well except, Merkle, just kidding Mount Union football. HAHA!
Servais (Servpiece9, Serv), okay so maybe just maybe, we can be friends I guess. The fun and mischievous things we have done together have been the most fun I have had this year. Spending time playing Gonzo is great with you. Remember when we played GTA at the beginning of the 2nd semester? Yeah, I don’t either. I can’t wait for us to hang out this summer and maybe the Wolves will take it easy on the Blues.
Mikey, all right you talked me into it. I have so much fun hanging out with you at the 785 this year and so glad that you and I were able to be roommates. I HATE SERVAIS! I still kind of think that you do hate Servais. Remember playing NCAA football 07 in my dorm last year? That was tight. Have a good summer and see you around my man.
Krone, I am glad that you were able to live with us and bring Derek into the world of Saint Mary’s baseball players. We may have scarred him for life. I would like to thank you always helping with the house and keeping it look nice. That one night you played gonzo and struck out the side. Need to do it again soon!
Curt, (CHURT!) for some reason I think that you really like my red belt that I use for practice? Can’t remember why though. You have to be one of the funniest people that I have ever met. Thanks for taking me under your wing freshman year; I bet you regret it now. HAHA! I wish you the best in your future and to take it easy on the library you might wear it out.
Danny, ya know? I am glad to have been able to play on the same team and you and to get to know you better over these four years. That’s nice! I wish you the best of luck in the business world after graduation and enjoy Chicago.
John Tessmer, officially the man! I am so glad to have been able to hang out and spend time with you over these three years. I enjoy your perspective on life, and mostly picking on Servais. I hope someday you teach in Arcadia and teach math to my children and then coach baseball together. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I am glad to have met you and to get to know you. HEY JOHN!
Taylor Theleman (Main Johnson), well I guess that you have to take over the Johnson spots when I leave. Don’t forget about chicken fingers and hugging everyone. I leave you with this responsibility and believe that you will be capable. We need to get some buffalo chicken dominos pizza soon too! Nikki Johnson!
Jimmy Sullilvan, yes Jimmy I did want to kill you the first time we met, but now, we can hug it out. I am glad to have met you and please take care of Theleman, he might need it. Also good luck rooming with Servais, Theleman, and Tess. God knows I couldn’t do it.
Merkle, you are the most unique person I have ever met, enjoy Yon’s and Gopher football. Gannon, listening to your stories and laughing so hard is something that I will miss. Pat Krieger, your laugh alone makes me laugh, you are so funny and I die talking to you every time. Big Pauly D, please help Krieger survive his college career, and god I love your stories. Merky Waters, I am so glad to have gotten to know you this year and I enjoy talking to you about anything in general. Enjoy your summer and have fun working and playing baseball. Willy Johnson, sorry you broke your finger just like me, let it heal and have a great summer. Drew, best band partner ever!! I am glad to have spent every practice talking with you. I could not have asked for a better partner and friend to start each practice with. Nord, have a good summer and take it easy. Teddy! UNITY!! I have laughed so many times with you. I am glad to have gotten to know you and spend time together. The Nacirema still makes me laugh every time, Okay now, any questions? Vince, just the guy! Being your RA and playing baseball with you has been great. Thanks for showing me some great music also; you’ll always be the guy to me. Biag, I lOVE talking with you. You make me laugh so hard, anytime conversation with you is just flat out hilarious. Don’t change anything about yourself and keep making people laugh. Wolfe, bunting is so hard! Ha ha, I enjoyed getting to know you better and watching you drop bombs. Have a great summer and see you around. Bwarry! You are so funny, I love watching sports with you and having you opinion on things. You make any conversation funny; you might have to take care of Chubbs next year though, he may get lost without you. Krysiak, well obviously the highlight of my four years at Saint Mary’s was down in Arizona, really guys? Ha Ha. I still smile and laugh about that. Being a physical team has for sure helped us this year, I know it has. Reegs! I loved it when you came down to the 785 1st semester and spent time with the guys. We had a lot of fun together hanging out and I will always remember that. Minder, having class with you during anthropology and being your personal catcher has allowed me to get to know you better, and I am glad that I have. Edholm, spending time together as your RA last year was great. I liked hanging out with each other all the time last year and relaxing. I enjoy talking with you about baseball and other things. Have a great summer and take it easy fishing.
Schlemmer, I could spend a whole day discussing someone or something with you. I love listening to your perspective and your opinion. Although some days not as much, but I like hanging out with you. Let’s get some HNR’s!
Anyone else I missed I’m sorry to have left you out, but thank you for so much for helping me to be successful in my life. |
