Well. I guess it’s the “End of the Road” after a lifetime of playing what some people think are just “Foolish Games.” But I’ve found that it’s “All the Small Things” that we love that is “All that Matters.” For me. All the best things in life were there. “It’s All in the Game.” My “Moves like Jagger” on the field helped me become “Better, Stronger, Faster” physically, but more importantly mentally. I “Found Love in a Hopeless Place” but it’s “A Crazy Little Thing Called Love” that kept me goin and learning and striving to be the best “Crazy Kid” I could ever “Imagine” to become. The “Beautiful” game of soccer taught me “Don’t Stop Believing” because “In the End” it doesn’t take a “Miracle Mile” to reach your goals. What it takes is keeping a strong mind to keep your goals “On Sight”, be “Physical” so no one can push you around, and an “Endless Love.”
This game has always been a “Family Affair,” from watching my siblings play, to my parents driving me everywhere and coming to all my games, to all the teams I’ve played being my second family. I have always tried to be “Louder Than Ever” supporting and cheering my teammates on the field. I hope you’ll all miss it but be able to fill that silence with your own chorus of passionate voices. I’m kind of a “Creep” and a weirdo, but I like to think it brought something to the team that could be enjoyed. This place has made me feel I’m in my very own “Gansta’s Paradise” and dealing with the injuries, exhaustion, and mental stress is “Nuthin’ But a G Thang” for soccer players. Keep fighting for the game you love. Don’t forget to “Drop it Like it’s Hot” because “Baby Got Back” for a reason and it’s what carries you through the season.
I know I’ll “Miss You” ladies so much. Sassiness and all.
Soccer. “I’m A Slave 4 U” and I always will be. You were my first love and I’ll never forget you.
I’m not looking forward to the clock going “Tik Tok” down to the final second I have with you, but you know “I Will Always Love You.” I love you, but “Kiss Off” why did you have to end so soon? Can’t I play just one more year? “Yeah!” “I Want it That Way.” Oh, I can’t? But I look like I’m 12…I “Promise” I could pull it off.
But I know, I know. Another senior. And “Aabracadabra” and just like that “Another One Bites the Dust.”
Soccer. “Welcome to Heartbreak” and to being “Crazy in Love” with something that’s more than just a game.
