I have really enjoyed working with this group of seniors. Zach, Loren and Midhat all stand as great representatives of our team, and of what it means to be a NCAA Division III student-athlete. They each have shown great focus and determination not only in pursuing an athletics career in college, but have excelled in tough majors and significant academic demands.

Being a NCAA Division III student-athlete is not for everyone; there are sacrifices and choices that have to be made, and we have been lucky to have these three athletes to point to as examples of how to balance those challenges. As our program improves and develops, I think many of our current, young players will be able to reflect on the leadership and effort these three men brought to our team as a turning point for the program.

We wish Zach, Loren and Midhat all the best, and thank them for their efforts in rebuilding our men’s soccer program here at Saint Mary’s.
