Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Athletics

I have been blessed to be able to continue playing the game of basketball into my collegiate career. As much as I say I do not enjoy practice, I know I will miss it when it is all over. I have been blessed with amazing teammates, coaches and family. By far the biggest influences on my life have been my parents. Without my parents I would not be the person I am today.

There isn’t anything I can say in words to explain how amazing my parents truly are. Throughout my entire basketball career they have been right along side of me and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I am very thankful to have such wonderful parents who would do anything for any of their children. I can always count on them to express to me the truth in any situation. The love you two have for each other and your family and friends amazes me. You two are the most wonderful people I have ever met and I honestly can say I wouldn’t change you two for any other parents in this entire world. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me.  I love you both so much!

I also want to thank my three older brothers, Jordan, Tom and Ben. You three have been awesome role models and great people to look up too. I believe my competitiveness stems from growing up with you three. Growing up having to compete against three boys has probably been one of the best things that could have happened to me. Thank you so much for supporting me over my career, even though I know SOMETIMES our games may be a bit boring for you. Looking up and seeing you guys in the stands with mom and dad really does bring a smile to my face. Thank you for being great brothers, I love you guys!

I’ve also been blessed with some great coaches over my career. Each and every one of them has taught me something that I can use not only on the basketball court but also carry it over into life. I wanted to thank the coaching staff for putting up with my shenanigans over the past four years. Coach Pearson you have done a wonderful job with the program and I feel so honored to be apart of it. You three really compliment each other well and it has been so fun to be able to experience the success we have. At the beginning of my freshman year I could of never imagined this program would be where it is today. That is really a testament to you coaches. Thank you so much for all you have done for me and making my experience here that much better!

Court, Jamie and Brit- I am so happy that I get to spend my last year being seniors with you three. Court you are probably one of the funniest people to be around and you are such a great teammate. You always put other people in front of yourself and I admire that so much! Thank you for making these past four year so enjoyable for me and making me laugh. Jamie I am so happy you have been apart of the team with me over the past four years while also racking up my assist number. You are such a wonderful person even if you do ignore my comments I make about “our boy.” But seriously thanks for putting up with my stupid comments over the years! Brit my super senior, I am so happy you decided to come back and play another year with us! You are such a great teammate and a great person to be around. Thank you for being my locker buddy all year and putting up with all that entails. Honestly I can’t imagine spending my senior year with three better people. You three have made my career at Saint Mary’s so much more enjoyable and for that I thank you girls so much!

Court E., Darcey and Kait — My little juniors, soon we will hand the reins down to you three, I would say you have pretty big shoes to fill. Court words cannot describe how much I adore you. You are such a wonderful person and I have enjoyed being your teammate. I know I can always count on you to make sure I won’t be late to anything or to text me back and give me the time of practice.  Darce,y I am so happy you decided to transfer and come to Saint Mary’s! The drives to practice and games would be a little more boring without you on the team this year. I have had such a great time getting to know you over the past year. I hope you have enjoyed our car rides as much as I have! Kait, you honestly have one of the best attitudes in every situation. I am so happy I have gotten to know you over the past couple years, even though I think personally you do homework a little too much. But seriously you are an amazing person and I know you will be a great teacher one day! I feel so blessed to be able to have you three apart of my life; you girls are great people and have been amazing teammates.

Sara, Adri, Tay and Corrine — I feel like it was just yesterday you girls were the new freshman on the team. I am so happy that I have gotten to know each of you. Sara you always make me laugh. At first we all thought you were the quiet girl, I am so happy I have gotten to know you too realize how funny you are! Adri how you ended up at Saint Mary’s I have no idea but I am happy you did! You give our team the extra little spunk we need. Tay, my sista, I am so unbelievably lucky to have gotten to know you. You are such a special person and have such a great attitude at life! Corrine I am so happy that we could be partners over these past two years. You are such an easy person to talk to and I am so hapy I have gotten so close too you!

The Freshmen — You are an awesome group of girls! I am so happy you girls chose to come to Saint Mary’s and I have gotten to know each of you throughout this season! Bridget, I am so happy you chose Saint Mary’s. You came in and meshed with us so well. You have an amazing work ethic, something that I think you got from me…? You have had an amazing season and I can only imagine where you will go throughout your four years! Shelby, you are such a little cutie, I am so happy you came to school here! Kayla, you are always so smiley and I love it. You are always in such a great mood. I am so happy I have gotten to know you over the season! Kenzie, you little cutie pie, you are such a great person and I have enjoyed getting to know you! Micaela I do not really appreciate when you drive by me at practice but I guess I will just deal with it. You are such a little speedster. Keep up all the hard work it will pay off! Haley you probably have the biggest shoes to fill next year, mine! I feel honored that you will be taking my place. You have been picking up on my tendencies very nicely! You honestly are the sweetest girl I have ever met and I am so happy I have gotten to know you this season! Katlyn, you are such a hard worker, which is such a great quality to have! I am so happy I have gotten know you this season! Natalie, you are always so bubbly! It has been great getting to know you! You girls have a couple more years in college and the time goes so fast! Enjoy every minute and have fun.

Natalie Williams,  you are my true soul mate. How you put up with me daily is incredible and I love you for that. When I see your cute face my day gets just that much better. I have very much enjoyed getting to know you over these past two years. You have an amazing personality, which will take you very far in life. Andrew you little divo, I am so happy I have gotten to know you over these past years!

I also wanted to give a HUGE thank you to Donny Nadeau. Over the past four years I have been at Saint Mary’s, you have done such an amazing job. You always come into the gym before games with a big smile on your face! We are truly lucky to have you as our Sports Information Director; you are one of the best!

Also to the SMU community, I wanted to say a special thank you! All of you who sit front row and yell so loud really make it such a better atmosphere to be apart of! I really appreciate it and it really does make a huge difference, THANK YOU!

I am writing this senior salute in disbelief that I will be graduating in May. Every one always told me that the time goes so fast, and it really does! I have truly had an amazing experience at Saint Mary’s and so many people have made it special for me. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of my life and for all the support I have received over the years. I truly am such a blessed person to have encountered so many amazing people. You all will always have a special place in my heart!
