Jason Bids Farewell
#30 Jason Horstman | Goalie | Faribault, Minn.
It seems like an eternity since I set foot on campus for my first day of college. That being said, the time has gone by so fast it is hard to believe. I credit this to being a part of the hockey team here at Saint Mary’s. Being a part of the team has given me so many memories that I will never forget. There have been many ups and downs along the way, but the past four years have been a blast and I’ll never forget them. I look back on the memories I will never forget such as the bus rides, the social events with the guys, team meals on Thursday nights, and most of all the time spent in the locker room with just the guys. These are the types of memories that will last a lifetime and I would not trade for anything.
I would like to thank my family, friends, and past coaches who have supported me throughout my hockey career. Especially, my parents, Larry and Carol, they have made all of this possible for me. If not for them I would not have made it this far playing this game, or be attending Saint Mary’s University. Second, I would like to thank my siblings, Amy and Jeff. They have always been there and supported me throughout everything including my hockey career. Lastly I would like to thank my nephews, Keegan, Kyle, and Sam. These three have been my three biggest fans without a doubt. No matter the result of the game they are always waiting outside the rink with a smile on their faces.
Lastly I would like to thank all my teammates I have had here at Saint Mary’s. Things would not have been the same without the great friendships I have developed here with my teammates. I would like to wish the younger players and the coaching staff the best of luck next season and in the future. |
