Andy Bids Farewell

Hockey has been a part of my life since I can remember. It was my goal growing up to be able play college hockey, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to play at Saint Mary’s. Saint Mary’s has provided me with memories that I will never forget. I will never forget spending the times with the boys in the locker room, on road trips, and social events. Through out my career here at Saint Mary’s I have encountered some good times as well as some bad, but looking back even the bad times don’t seem so bad and somehow make me smile looking back at them. As I reflect I would like to take the time to thank those who have made it possible for me to play this wonderful game.
I would like to say thank you to my family for supporting me through my hockey career. I thank my parents, Joe and Denise, for driving me on road trips, taking me to countless numbers of five am workouts, and most importantly the advice you have given me along the way. I would like to say thank you to my brother, Austin, for giving me the opportunity to grow up playing this sport with you. You were a great mentor and taught me a lot about the game. I also thank you for guiding me, and being there for me through out the years. Without my parents, and brother, I would have never had the opportunity to play the great sport of hockey.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the past and present teammates I have had here at Saint Mary’s, things would not be the same without the great friendships that we have developed. I would like to thank all of my coaches for giving me all the chances over my career. I want to wish the younger players and coaching staff good luck and with you all the best in future. |
