Momo — or as I first knew you, Miranda. I will be honest, it did take me a while to get used to your nickname and to start calling you by it, but as your four years come to a close, I do not think that I can now call you anything else!!
    
Momo, you are and always have been an amazing person and player, you have contributed more things to Saint Mary’s women’s soccer than you know. As you know you were my very first recruit here and I remember you being quite shy and timid about your decision; did you make the right one, would UMD have been better? Hopefully over the years you have seen the impact you have had on the team and myself, and I truly believe everyone is better off having had you in their lives and believe everyone around you would thank you for choosing Saint Mary’s. I have seen you grow from a little rec player into the person you are today. The confidence that I see in you and the way you have grown has been inspiring!! I know that you will achieve great things beyond Saint Mary’s, and if you ever do decide to open up a bakery, then I would be the first in line to taste your amazing treats!! I also think you should have a photography business on the side because you are a people person and you know how to relate!! Now for some memories of our time together at Saint Mary’s. The first one is a pretty special one for me, although it may be embarassing for you!! Our first day together, my first day as a coach and your first day as a freshman. I am sure we were both as nervous as each other, but when we played that word association game, your face was bright red. I see that person completely gone now and you are so sure of yourself that it has been amazing to see. The second memory was at the barn house. I have to say that you did get me … big time!!! For those that are reading this, Momo put together a Cool Whip pie that she, with great laughter, slammed into my face. I did not have any time to react, but my first reaction was that of laughter and of course to get her back, luckily there was enough left for some payback. Momo, I know you will achieve your dreams and my hope is that you will still keep me and Saint Mary’s in your life as I am proud to have worked with you and even prouder to know you. You deserve all of the success, joys and happiness that life is sure to bring you!! Thank you for everything you have done for the Saint Mary’s Women’s Soccer program and know that your Saint Mary’s family will always be here for you!!!
