A.J. Bids Farewell
The last three years have been some of the best in my life, and it would not have been the same without hockey and all of the great friends I have made in the process. The team became my second family the minute I transferred into school and was welcomed into the program. It seems like just yesterday that I stepped foot onto campus and now things are coming to an end. I wouldn’t trade any of the bus trips, conditioning, or hot laps for anything in the world. After the first few weeks here, I knew that Saint Mary’s was the perfect fit for me. The guys at Saint Mary’s have helped shape me into the person I am today.Â
I would like to thank my parents for their love and support throughout my journey so far. They have been there for me every step of the way and I wouldn’t even be close to where I am without them. I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for everything they have done for me, from making countless trips to the rink every week when I was younger to being at so many of my games throughout my junior and collegiate career. I hope to someday have the same positive influence on my family.
Lastly, I want to thank the coaches and training staff for all of their support. The coaches believed in me right from the start, by allowing me to transfer and trusting me to help grow the program. I am extremely happy with my decision to come to St. Mary’s. They have pushed me to be the best in every aspect of my life and I can never repay them for something as important as that.
It’s been an incredible three years and I know that I will miss coming to the rink every day and being surrounded by such great team.
