A Word From Coach Moore

The men’s hockey team has 12 graduating seniors that are tremendous examples of student-athletes. Whether it is on the ice or in the classroom, these young men possess the characteristics needed to be successful in life: hard-work, commitment, dedication, loyalty, as well as many others.

Brian Thesenvitz:? Brian has been the manager for our team for the last 4 years.  He is usually the first person to get to the locker room and last one to leave.  His tremendous attention to details allows the coaching staff to focus on the game.

Nick Gualano:?Nick has been very determined during his career, earning a spot on the varsity team for the last two years.  Always willing to do whatever is asked of him, he has played many different roles for us during his career.

AJ Mueller: AJ has been a standout on defense over his four year career. His willingness to block shots and play tough in corners has made him invaluable in the defensive end of the rink.

Brad Fusaro: Brad has served as the Cardinals’ captain for the past 2 years.  His hard work and unselfishness to play whatever role is asked of him makes him the perfect captain for this team.  Brad has been one of the best penalty killers t
hat we have had in the Cardinal program.

Tommy Robaczewski:?Tommy has been a vital piece of the Cardinal program.  His motivational leadership, uplifting attitude, and willingness to do anything asked of him influence every player in the locker room.

Andrew Ketterer:? Andrew is one of the smartest players on the Cardinal roster.  Combining his hockey intelligence and physical play, Andrew has been a four-year regular in the Cardinal line-up.

Bobby Thompson: Bobby has been an integral part of the Cardinal offense.  His speed and toughness make him a threat every shift.  Earning all-conference honors last season, Bobby has not only been a leader on the ice, his off-ice preparation and training is second to none.

Scott Deur: Scott used his speed to create offensive pressure for the past four years.  That speed has also made him one of the program’s premier penalty killers.  His light heartedness kept everyone in the locker room laughing.

Ryan Griffiths:?Ryan has played many different roles during his four year career as a Cardinal.  Whether he is creating a physical presence in front of the net or shooting from the high slot, he never questioned each role given to him.  Ryan has a true love of the game.

Brad Denney:?Brad has served as the Cardinal assistant captain for the past two years.  His offensive style of play helps us to get out of our end quickly and into the offensive attack.  Brad has also been a great leader in our program with Hockey Ministries.

Nick Nagel: Nick is a very intelligent and skilled hockey player.  Using his frame to protect the puck, Nick creates a lot of offensive opportunities for himself and his line mates.

Austin Balko: Austin has been a tremendous great offensive threat during career with the Cardinals.  Austin earned MIAC All Rookie, MIAC Honorable Mention All-Conference, and MIAC All-Conference honors during his career.
