Jimmy Bids Farewell
End of the line. Before I step off into the great unknown of my life to come, I need to thank all those who’ve helped me find myself where I am now.
I’ll try to keep it concise, but Mom, Dad and Katy, thank you for sending me to Saint Mary’s and supporting me the entire way—despite my struggles and often impetuous nature.
Thank you Saint Mary’s University, for providing me with a home away from home. No where else in the world have I ever felt such a sense of security with the person that I am and I love this University for it.
Thank you Chef Leo for preparing food that actually has flavor and is safe for human consumption. It’s a shame you couldn’t have been cooking here the past three years.
To all my professors, thank you for your support and for putting up with me, especially Brother Pat and Wes Miller.
Most importantly, thank you Eric, and thank you to all my teammates. In the beginning swimming was always an afterthought, but through all of your support, affirmation, and the propinquity that we established, I grew to love the team with a strong sense of kinship and value.
I’ll miss Saint Mary’s, I’ll miss this team and I will dearly miss all those I’ve befriended during my time here.
