Bri Bids Farewell

Bri Bids Farewell

It’s difficult to think about life after soccer or after graduation. I have lived my last four years here at Saint Mary’s and even though some days seemed never-ending, the time really does go by fast. This also very difficult to write because I can say so much about my time here; both soccer and college has been a roller coaster of events.

I cannot believe that this is it. My story is a little different because I came into my freshman year just after my second ACL surgery. It was really hard to not only move from Colorado to Minnesota not knowing anyone relatively close to Winona; I also had to sit the sidelines every day for that season. I know there are other athletes that can relate to this and my advice is to keep going and stay strong.

Even though I only had three years of playing college soccer, I am grateful for being healthy enough to make it through with hard work, dedication, and making the opportunity last.

I am also very grateful to have met such great individuals that are not only my teammates, but my family. Soccer brought us together, but the bonds were made from staying together through the defeats and the victories.

Not only will I have everlasting memories, but also everlasting friendships. I love you all and thank you for a wonderful experience.
