Mike Bids Farewell

Plans after Graduation:
Work as an assistant manager at Baker’s Square if I can’t land other opportunities after graduation. Otherwise I can’t say for sure, I don’t want to close any doors just yet.

Thank You for Family & Friends:
I would like to say thank you to my step-dad, Darel Myers, for loving me like a son and putting up with all my soccer experiences…especially when we had to steal your travel points. But honestly I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for you. Love you Papa D.
I also want to say a very special thank you to my mom, Emily Tabar, for putting up with 16 years of soccer and allowing me all the wonderful experiences I had through soccer. I couldn’t have asked for a better mom. I love her to death and am grateful every day because of the opportunities she has given me through her own sacrifices. I love you mom.

Best Class You had at Saint Mary’s & Why?
Sport Marketing. The class was a project oriented and hands-on class. Professor Hefel would give us a project to do or marketing scheme to create and we would be on our own to create whatever he asked us to. He would guide us along the way, but it symbolized a real-world situation in which we were given tasks by a boss and had to complete them with just minimal guidance.

Best Sports Memory at Saint Mary’s:
Beating Simpson College in overtime. The feeling of winning a game in sudden death is incredible.

Reflections for the Team:
Once you are done playing here you can never go back and play, so enjoy it as much as you can because you never know when it all comes to an end.
